Wait, it's over 5000yen. ROFLMAO.
In the US it even is a comical $50. Would be pretty funny if it wasn't so damn sad.

I'm not sure how to see Switch to be honest. A lot of strange decisions there.
- Paid online services
- Separated app for voice chat and apparently not integrated in the console itself
- A bit expensive
- Weak launch line up
- Online goodies with the suscription worst than ps plus (that are bad)
I think in Japan it will be a success but abroad ... i see it failing hard tbh.
Well, on the flip, some of the impressions slipping out of the hands-on are very positive.
Especially on ARMS.
...And the sequel: 2 ARMS 2 FURIOUS

Nintendo opened up an urgent questionnaire in regards to the Switch presentation. Asks general questions like your age, sex, when u plan on purchasing a Switch, what you thought of the design, what you thought of the price, what series you would like to see on Switch, do you agree/disagree with paying for online, do you think Switch will sell, and what current titles do you have an interest in.
Edit: lol fuck up
My katakana is so fucking off today.I was gonna say...

So, Tales is moving to Switch and that SMT game may be coming to PS4? Nice. Converge them all!
It's pretty clear Tales will switch from PS3/PS4 to Switch/PS4.
So I guess 3DS will have better year than I expected this year. That Switch price is crazy high for system that is seen as handheld system (especially in Japan) and first year sales will not match anywhere near GBA/DS/3DS numbers without similar panic price cut that 3DS got.
Launch Weeks:
Dec 2012 WIU | 308.142
Feb 2011 - 3DS | 374.764
Dec 2016 - Wii | 350,358
Feb 2014 PS4 | 309.154
Dec 2011 PSV | 324.859
Cant seem to find PS3 Launch numbers
The Nintendo 3DS launched in Japan on February 26, 2011, priced at ¥25,000.
Switch launches at ¥30,000 if it had Splatoon packed in it would have been a great deal, not having a pack-in like Splatoon 2 is a missed opportunity.
Still expecting ¥30,000 Switch with Splatoon for the summer holidays.

The price is pretty comparable to 3DS, the yen has lost a lot of value since 2011. I figured if the switch would be 250$ in the US it would be ¥30000 in Japan, I'm am surprised that the cheapest region to get Switch has ended up being Japan.
12 Switch would have made a good pack-in.

Still, it was the main third party game, it was bundled and promoted.
It sold >200k, non of the third party switch ports will sell ever that number.

It obviously has a certain appeal with the Nintendo nostalgia crowd but it's still just a weird product.
I guess Ryu DLC for Smash did well?
So do some people still think Switch will be the top hardware seller in Japan for 2017? I'm not sure anymore. I think 3DS takes the crown again. If not, then PS4.
So, following this up, the logic seems to be that you can play the game with two players using one joycon each.
The end of the trailer also appeared to have a very short clip of what looked like the 3DS version of SF4, so I'm guessing that's also coming at some point to the Switch.

The more I see of their launch software the more my optimism swings upward, there's glowing praise for damn near every launch title from internal dev.
Hands-on continues to have positive impressions as well.
It's the game prices and online that leave me ????.

I think the first party games look very good, but the actual launch day lineup is just atrocious and makes me wonder why they didn't move something like Splatoon 2 up. I guess they are banking on the hardcore buying it no matter what then sustaining things in the months ahead, but that's a pretty big risk.

How much do you think Switch will sell?
In my view it won't reach 1.5m sold in 2017.Between 1 and 2 million 3DS had around 1.9 million in 2016. Based on price alone I don't think Switch will get that high.
There is no way PS4 will sell less this year with stronger lineup and possible price cut... it is already around 100% up in the first weeks of 2017.PS4 sold 1.8 million last year, with multiple new models and Final Fantasy XV. It will sell less than that this year.
The Switch will definitely outsell the PS4 this year. I don't think there's really much doubt on that front. I don't know exactly how well it will do, but I have a hard time seeing it not even managing to outsell the PS4.

Do you think Switch will sell over 2 million in 2017???Yeah, no.

What are even the biggest PS4 games this year? Dragon Quest XI and... Resident Evil 7?
