Didn't the remakes bombed because they were on PSP? I've seen so many Mega Man fans saying they'd get the remakes but wouldn't justify buying a PSP for just those. Such a shame. We could of have seen more remakes if it sold.
It's what fans like to use as an argument but it doesn't really mean much.
As said, it doesn't take more then two minutes to see that Rock doesn't sale nearly as much as people want to believe it does.
X hasn't moved good numbers since X4 really. X5 and 6 did decent but not great. X8 and Comman Mission (which sucks because I loved this game even if it did have Axl and the encounter rate was way to high) was scary bad.
.EXE went to hell after the the third game and the sales took a giant dive in the toilet, lets also not mention the god awful Gamecube .EXE game.
Rock hasn't been moving units and while 9 did do well 10 pretty much showed it was possibly because of a novelty of a 8 bit game being released now and not because of Rock.
Starforce didn't do well, the .EXE1 remake didn't do well.
ZX and Advent both tanked.
Zero 1 from what I saw did okay, but 2,3,4 and collection didn't do anything remotely well.
You add up all this and it's very easy to see it's likely that while the Remakes may have done better else were, they very well have been a very small amount.
Lets also factor in that Dash 1,2, and Bonne didn't exactly light the world on fire and it's very easy to see why as far as from a stand point that wants to make money they would cancel not only Dash 3 but Universe.

They were just straight ports. Literally the hud was just stretched over the screen to fit. One of which had been ported twice over already. With no additions of any kind, 6 years later, was there really any shock when it sold less than 20k?
If they are talking about the Dash port then this is true, if they are talking about the X and Rock remake then no and as I explained they both tanked and we can't even be sure the PSP is the reason they did.
