I hate the inconsistencies in these sex crimes. Granted this is fucked up, but if a man raped a woman he could get less than 9yrs in jail for it. lol its the incest part that made them drop the banhammer.

All sounds reasonable to me. Keep in mind that Europe is way less uptight about sex than North America is. Stuff like this happens ALL THE TIME in Europe, and it's no big deal. Most likely the kids had been drinking wine as well.

It begins when a child hits puberty. Usually around the age of 13 for most boys. Varies from kid to kid.

I'm not defending this situation at all. Just figured I would answer your question. Although a very quick google search would have provided your answer as well.

At least here in California there's a legal distinction that starts at age 14. Before 14 is "lewd and lascivious act with a child under 14," after 14 is statutory rape.

WTF. I don't give a fuck about the statutory rape. It's the m night twist that she's his MOTHER that is fucked up. That's akin do fathers screwing their daughters. Even if they can mentally handle the sex at a young age, the father/mother part is gonna fuck them up for a long time.

It's not some secret that in the US a 14 year old is not old enough to give consent to have sex. If it was a 30 year old man and his 14 year old daughter would you feel the same?

If she was smart, she would have signed a permission slip giving her son consent to sleep with with her :lol
