On consoles it's not. Perhaps ecosystems was the wrong word to use. User base might be better.

No. There is no gate whatsoever for crossplay or infinite worlds on any platform. You only need the update itself.

I have digital, and there's nothing in my Ready to Install and it still tries to charge. Maybe the store's not updated in UK yet :/

Switch update coming this winter?
That's going to devastate my daughter who's asked me daily when it's coming. Poor communication on the devs part for waiting til this day to say the Switch version is a delayed launch.

I'm still baffled that Nintendo is doing cross play with other consoles before Sony. That's when you know you dunn goofed.
Cant look out the window if you never wanted to be apart of it in the first place. Gotta protect my kids from console players.
A few friends and I started a Windows 10 server in anticipation of this update and I'm kind of shocked it dropped so fast. They had said "Fall" and I kind expected it closer to Halloween. A little bummed Switch is behind the curve, but since it's coming eventually I can't complain much.
In case anyone else was wondering, I found the answer, and it's "you can't"

I downloaded the beta on my nephew's Xbox, and he was really pleased until he found they'd fixed some "cool" bugs. Then he was annoyed, lol.

They "broke even" around a year after the purchase - which in financial terms means that they were earning more from the investment than just having the cash accumulating interest.
After the movie I'd say they'll probably have broken the back of it, in terms of genuine recovery of the investment, but I think it'll take years for it to be a true project in the black.

Yes, I believe so. The base game is not Play Anywhere.
You only need to buy DLC once though and it works on all Better Together platforms.

Just tried it out again with wireless Logitech gear.
I don't think so. I had to buy the PC Win 10, Oculus, and the Android version separately even though I already owned the XBO version.
You can now share purchased content on each platform, but each version requires it's own purchase.
