I actually have the theory that there's really no "teenagers" in pony society. The existence of cutie marks means that general education in pony society is cut short when compared to human society. Rather than going on to what we would consider high school, ponies will actually either go to more specialized schools related to their talents or enter the general workforce shortly after they obtain their cutie marks. In other words, ponies start moving out on their own once they enter adolescence!

I mean, think about it. Rarity is old enough to run her own business, but she's got a little sister that seems like she's about 8 years old. If we assume that Rarity is in her 20's, than there'd be like a 12 year gap between those sisters. And wouldn't my theory also explain how all the main cast ponies seem to have the maturity level of teenagers despite having more adult responsibilities?

It's well done and light hearted with great animation and some good characters.

Yes, the cartoon is good.

It's popular via a combination of comedic irony plus the fact that the series does not meet the expectations that one might normally have when thinking about My Little Pony. And the show is honestly at its best when it's doing something that'd you'd never expect from My Little Pony, like Looney Tunes inspired slapstick or a major character having a mental breakdown.
