I just looked through all 17 pages. The first ~6-7 were awesome and I must have saved like 150 pictures. And then it went downhill from there and I probably saved maybe 70 in the next ten pages, but that's okay. Depending on where you are and where you buy it from, it's either called hair wax or hair putty. It also comes in super-stiff formulations, which is perfect for this stuff.

Oh, and Asians really do dye their hair into weird colors. It's uncanny.

This makes sense, but the gravity defying spikes are still impressive. You look at a western cosplayer and you can see what's holding up their pathetic, greesy looking spikes. On the other hand, some of the Japanese one's look to magically defy gravity.

They're REALLY good at makeup in the land of the rising sun.
