I've been hoping with every iteration that they'd make a throw escaping system more like VFs, so maybe we'll see something like that implemented now that we've got some crossover to the series. Sidestepping actually being there and not total ass makes me think this may be the case.
We don't really have confirmation that stepping is good. All we've seen are a few videos with one sidestep each. Every step is only to evade a single attack so we don't know how stepping works against longer combos. We also don't know the recovery on whiffed attacks to determine if you get a free launch after stepping.
Can't wait to get this. I play DOA2 hard core on the PS2 once or twice a month. I'm still a beast at that game.
I recently played DOA4 on a friend's Xbox and owned him and his brother every round. I should be good to go on this new one... especially considering how beastly I am at Virtua Fighter 4.
No offense, but there's a huge difference in skill between an average, casual player, and a tournament savvy, competitive player. I haven't touched DOA4 in two years, and I'd probably be able to beat you if you've never traveled to tournaments.
