That's kinda the same as devs saying right now that they don't think their games will appeal to Nintendo's audience.
Which is funny because mostly adult males in their 30's own the Switch.

Truth hurts.Cmon this title is ridiculous.
Saw this on Twitter. https://twitter.com/lawbreakers/status/885305442364256257
Sometimes, it's just best to say "We're looking into it" and just move on.
You know.. it would of been easier to say you don't want to bring a game to the switch just because you don't want to.
Or how about websites just stop asking about Switch ports of games that are clearly well beyond what the Switch is capable of?
Even if a Switch version was planned, they're not going to break that news in an interview with GamingBolt.com, so I don't see the point in prodding them about it.
It doesn't excuse a bullshit answer like this one but some devs ,I'm sure, don't want to use that answer because there are fanboys out there that believe the "Technical Limitations" excuse isn't a real excuse and usually accuse the dev or being lazy or it's a conspiracy.
I'm not stating that that's what they SHOULD do, I'm just saying I could see why some devs would choose a different answer than the truth.
Some people will accuse the dev of being lazy no matter what though:
Loading Wii_Excuse.EXE
Warning, file has not been updated since 2007. Run anyway?
>Yes.
Between this quote and the "not enough buttons" nonsense, I can almost guarantee this guy thinks 1-2 Switch style games is the only way to play Switch games.
Hah glad they owned up to it. I'm guessing it was just an honest mistake, the dev just literally has no interest in the Switch to the extent that he has never held or studied the controller.
Then they should have just said so. At least that would be backlash that they could stand behind, and there are ways to say that that people would swallow a bit better.
I mean, if that excuse isn't good enough they could just go with "Why on Earth would we port Lawbreaker's to switch?"
This is one of those situations where people just want a reason to be annoyed. Sure, you have every right to be annoyed but its kind of like going to a Chinese restaurant and wondering where the burgers are.

It would have been cool to see them extract as much power out of the Switch as possible to run this game. I'm sure it could be done but financially the numbers probably just don't add up.
Which is so ironic because the WiiU gamepad is like a switch army knife of controllersI feel like I vaguely recall this happening with Wii U port questions, where the dev wanted to say something diplomatic instead of being blunt about whether a port would be worth it, and instead said something nonsensical where they acted like the Wii U gamepad was limited buttonwise like the Wii.

Nothing you said in your post makes any sense
No one is buying a Switch to play an FPS that is on every other console. No one. I would almost be willing to bet that if Lawbreaker's was a release date title for Switch, literally no one would buy it for just that game. I don't know why this is an issue to anyone unless the whole point is to have an issue for the sake of having something to complain about OR to feel smart about "seeing through marketing".
I'm sorry for the abstractions in my first post. I get that concrete ideas are easier to grasp.
If they said:
"We will consider a Switch version in the future"
Everyone would just forget about it and no real excuse would be needed.

Haha that tweet is awesome. Good form
Still don't expect this to come to the Switch, though it might be a good idea to do so. There are no hero shooters on the platform yet, and the first one there stands to make some money.
Constructive criticism. This way the next Nintendo console will be made of buttons.
Id be shocked if Lawbreakers is even worth porting to begin with considering nobody seems to care.
Switch has clickable sticks?
Yep. Arms uses one as a block, sadly.
At the risk of sounding like an over defensive fanboy I need to ask, what does "using motion makes you look away from the scene" even mean?
They probably heard of 1-2 Switch and somehow assumed that's all you can do with motion.I have no idea. I made a point about this in my previous post.
Motion controls for the Switch are entirely gyro based. Also when playing the Switch in handheld mode. The screen itself is part of the controller so I don't know how one could 'Look away from the screen" when using the motion inputs.
Nevermind the fact when the system is docked for TV Mode, you still need to look at the screen to actually pay attention whats happening in-game.
In fact, I don't believe there has been any case, especially so for the Switch in that using the Gyro forces a player to divert their attention away from the actual game..
