Polyphony is japanese and Prologue is one of most impressive PS3 games.

The Last Guardian wil not has de Uncharted 2 textures and visual effects, but will use the PS3 power like no other.

After all that hype, I think that trailer was a letdown personally. We had pretty much scene all that footage through screenshots weeks ago.

Location has very little to do with innate talent. Ueda could be in Timbuktu and I would still be hyped for his game due to his impressive past efforts.

Also, the trailer for The Last Guardian was incredible, with the animation being better than any other game. Having had more than a year to work on it, I expect The Last Guardian to not only raise story-telling bars but also standards of visual fidelity.

Location not, but culture yes. Japanese developers have yet to master the art of pixel shading. It's funny you mention the animation cos that's exactly the only thing next gen looking about the game. Everything else looks like Ico in HD more or less. Not Uncharted 2 for sure.

Couple of days ago was reading an interesting article explaining this is more detail but hell I can't remember where it was.

Sorry for my english.

I wanted to say that Team ICO use the power in a different way that Naughty or Santa Monica. The Last Guardian will be less impressive than Uncharted 2 or GoW 3 but will has a better physics and animation. IMO is more impressive SotC that GoW II or Jak & Daxter. I think and i hope that in PS3 happens again.

How can you not be impressed with this? Even with gt's asstastic "HD" it still looks amazing. Trolls will be trolls though.

I think art direction is above any individual technique, and Ueda hasnt failed so far in creating absolutely stunning worlds for his games. Anyways, to get into a graphics argument with you is like trying to get in a fight with Kratos, so i'll quietly back away. :lol

Cant we agree that TLG will be awesome and leave it at that? :D

The lighting is just as impressive, if not more. The particle effects are as impressive, if not more. The feathers, physics and animation are on a par, if not more impressive....

the last guardian trailer had hdr,self shadows ,shadows looked non pixelated,it had baked AO,and you could see lots of nice looking smoke, water i think had ripples im not sure what other things you want out those pixle pipelines in rsx

Of course it will, and I'm not saying it looks crap neither I'm talking about art direction. It simply lacks the amount of next gen visual awesomeness you see in games like Uncharted 2, Killzone 2 or GOW3.

WHAT's this talk about Last Guardian looking like ICO in HD, graphics wise......from the gameplay clips we have seen it has some of the best graphics around...

it's ok to say it, when Last Guardian releases, it will most likely have the best graphics around..... I said this about GOW3 when most felt unimpressed with the early footage and were awestruck by Uncharted 2.

then we'll see what Killzone 3 has to show.

I know some are disappointed with Sony Japan, tech wise compared to other Sony devs....but they have done a fine job with games like Hotshots Golf, Afrika, Aquanauts Holiday, Siren, and of course a wonderful job with GT5....

As I said I think it's lighting and partical effects may be a step up.

The 1080p version... *drool*

If they lock the game down at 30 fps with motion blur (hopefully of the same quality as in this trailer :lol :D ) then my head will melt from the sensory overload.

Holy shit 1080p is good quality, I can see blood cell in S.M. studio logo. Flash version look like red dots.

That's based on people looking at the kid model and NOTHING ELSE IN THE VIDEOS.
