Frankly, the trailer was more impressive than I expected it to be. It certainly looked way better and more polished than Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li and other fighting game movie adaptations. It was felt like Mortal Kombat crossed with X-Men and with some of the sexy, hip, urban youth appeal of the Fast and the Furious films.

Well, the movie has been in development for quite some time and was finished nearly a year ago.... the trailer impressions has been positive..the problems seems to be pointing, that they missed the planned release of the movie along with the game..so many distributors are passing on it, just because of that.

The IGN trailer impressions are better than I would have expected, which means next to nothing. Here's hoping the Tekken movie is at least as enjoyable as DOA (though hopefully not for the same reasons). It looks godawful, but who knows.

Yeah it'll probably be about as good as I'm expecting. Not particularly, but not bad. I primarily care because there has got to be some cool fight scenes in it. Secondarily because I'm somewhat of a fan of the series, at least I used to be back in the PS1 days. And finally, I want to see how they pulled off Yoshimitsu.
