orlando franklin is one of the good guys, fuck rob ford though

Not sure how the PS4 version is supposed to be better when it's hopping up and down between 30 and 60 fps on a freaking sine wave. An unstable framerate is the only thing worse than low framerate. If you're going to average 50, give up on your "60 FPS!!" marketing and lock the damn thing lower. Jesus.

How perceptible are said drops and where do they occur in the game? The sine wave statement is useless if the drops are impercetiple and a game dropping from 60 to 50 is just that unless heavy judder is introduced into the image or if vsync is unlocked and you start to see tearing. If the choice is between a game thats locked at 30 and maintains that a majority of the time with drops into the teens and a game thats unlocked and maintains 50-60 outside of heavy action loads, cutscenes with minimal judder and vsync locked (which from all reports the PS4 version seems to be)? Give me the variable framerate any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Black and white statements about preference are great but implementation matters regardless of platform. Plenty of variable framerate games play just fine with very impercetible drops. Whereas I found the locked 30 in AC4 extremely smooth and felt it was the right decision for that game. I'd prefer a flawless 60 at all times but that's why we have PC's.:)

You're point about locking framerate and adding "pretty" is unrealistic considering this is a cash grab rerelease of a current gen game developed quickly for two new platforms. They did what they could to pretty it up and get it out the door. I think the better option would have been to build in a framerate limiter into the options to give folks the choice and leave it at that.

what do you with the govt, and can you help a brother out? After graduating college I've put in dozens and dozens of jobs on usajobs, but nothing. I also interned with the secret service, but that was for a semester.

Intelligence (a field Lunchbox would never qualify for), ten years and counting. Having a TS clearance helps immensely. The issue you'll face now is there is a hiring freeze in place. Very difficult to get your foot in the door. If a job does open up, there's almost always a specific candidate already in mind.

Consider getting your foot in the door as a contractor, then moving over after people know you and your work quality.

youre working until 44 years then settling for 50k a year from then on? 50? are fucking kidding me? I live in the united states, not a third world country. 53k is the current starting salary for new grad auditors with no experience. plus benefits, overtime, expense accounts, bonuses and paid holidays.

so after i work for your company for 20 odd years, instead of stock options and partners draw and capital that i can live off for the rest of my life, you will offer me less money a year than a pimple faced 22 year who just came out of college and expect me to live my life off that? seriously hope you arent an adviser at some college because i would be suing you if you put those ideas in my kids heads and draining his ambitions

Everyone knows you're a moron, but I'll bite and clear up your erroneous assumptions.

1. I save and invest like everyone else. That doesn't cease to be an option.

2. That is $50K a year to do NOTHING. I can obviously keep working as long as I want, with that pay being in addition to the $50K.

3. Experience. I've been offered three jobs in the past five years with the highest offer being $240K. Those are based off a very particular skillet I have that approximately ~500 other people in the world have. I'm not a dime a dozen CPA candidate living off his dad's money and jerking off to Leo in The Wolf of Wallstreet.

4. I have work experience in the fastest growing field in intelligence, and that comes with putting in work. I'll be even more marketable in ten years time. I can easily continue my job for way more money while still pulling in my pension.

5. You live in Detroit.

Fair enough.

Averaging 50 just looks to me like they missed the mark by so far it would've been better to bail out.

Dude, I'm 33 and have been investing in various vehicles since you were wearing diapers. I made my first $30K in a single (risky) stock option as a freshman in college, when you were still a toddler cheering for the Lions. I have more than enough money in different savings and investment options, and none of it came from my dad.

I think I understand wealth perfectly fine. I simply don't exist to covet it and gain as much of it as possible. That's a pretty pitiful existence, in my book. I live to spend time with my wife and son, travel around the world, and enjoy learning and experiencing new things. I seek money only to the extent that it frees me up to do those things.

What don't you understand about the value of a $50K a year pension for doing absolutely nothing? If you don't need that extra income, invest it. Want to travel for six straight months? Do it, you're still collecting a paycheck.

Good thing about Ford is he doesn't give a fuck what you think. Plus he seems to do an actual good job leading.

Can't fault him for rooting for the hometown boy either. Funny story about Franklin is that he always sits in the Maple Leafs section at Avs games. Huge hockey guy.

Whats wrong with having a rich dad? I wish my dad was rich.
Having a daddy pay for my bills while I did jack shit all day would be awesome.

I could be a real life Billy Madison.

Also falling for Lunchbox's trolls is pretty dumb guy. Not everyone is a serious poster like me. This place will be better off when Lunchbox gets banned against.

Once we return from OT the numbers should thin out a bit.

"Another deep ball to Gordon."

I'll mix it up, I also have these plays:

"Fade to Cameron"
"Throw the fucking ball to Cameron!"

I am buying you a ticket to come to Toronto so I can fight you! How dare you say this!

HOW DARE YOU!

What about the drug use? He's probably racist and shit too. Looks like one.

Tragic,

I'll be 32 in June. I don't where to look to get my foot in the door. If you have any suggestions on contracting agencies, or know anyone that can refer me, then PM.

I hate what Lunchbox has done to this forum
Only because you are a dumb poor.

When you can earn $25/hour out of college and can afford to wear the finest clothing from the Gap whilst eating the finest cheddar biscuits from Red Lobster then get back to me.

How could you not like that?

Dude I have friends who work for the Feds. It is going to be tough as fuck to get in right now. Those guys are happy not to get furloughed at the moment. Hiring isn't in the cards for most departments there.

Is anyone here a CPA (don't answer, simplebox)? I am on track to finish undergrad this year and I'm not planning on going back for my masters because life as a CPA sounds like hell.

I graduated with my MAcc but I avoided the CPA track...took a job with the government instead. Remember, you don't have to work for a CPA firm...you can go straight to private. People need CMAs and what not. Being CPA eligible is a huge advantage wherever you end up.

I calculated the hourly wage to help your Simple mind, as it's obviously a salary.

Who wouldn't want a pension given the choice? I realize the private sector has completely eradicated them for almost every job in America, but only a complete moron (i.e. you) would think they aren't an amazing deal. I'll pull in right at $50K a year for the rest of my life starting at 44. Provided I live an average lifespan (not a Detroit one), that equates to well over a million dollars. It also adjusts annually with inflation, so the true dollar figure grows significantly even if spending power doesn't.

Yep, pensions rock. I've got one that I can draw on that's 2/3rds of my highest 12 months of salary at the age of 56. Plus you can retire and then continue to work while double dipping. Pensions are a dinosaur and anyone who has one is incredibly lucky.

Clearwater. I'm a few hours away from wrestling a Gata.

Ah ok hmmm well my friend used to work for a contractor but it was for ICE (immigration) don't know if there is anything there you could apply at, I'll see if she can give me information on how you can apply. I know they have offices all over the country so that might help you out.
