The screen being a little wobbly is not a problem for anyone who isn't anal retentive, though.
It looks like mine doesn't get the lines unless I put the foam that came with it in there, so I guess I was doing more harm than good for the first few weeks I owned it. I got it in late June.
Agree with the first part of what you said; completely disagree with your other sentiment.
I'm not anally retentive because I have an issue with the top-screen wobble. Trust me, it's not slight. Out of the box, this thing wobbled noticeably, and it might have been something I would have shrugged off had Nintendo not gone out of its way to include a fishing AR game that requires you to jerk the 3DS in order to catch fish. When you start doing that shit, it becomes all too clear that it's a serious issue, especially if they plan on implementing similar gameplay mechanics in future games/apps.
