- Nintendo-account will be necessary to access eShop on Switch
- Switch will need an update to access eShop
- You can buy eShop-games through the Nintendo homepage

Not the question we needed an answer for. Wouldn't make sense to have redeemed an eShop wallet code on 3DS or Wii U and have it not carry over to Switch.

Like is it one big wallet or forward only? If I redeem cash on the Switch does it show up on 3DS?

It states 20 titles available in eshop at launch, including download ver of package games and eshop-only titles

It's always good to communicate. But we would expect at the very much this from every other brand. Nintendo just shows such ignorance with these things that at this point they may even list it as a feature.

i feel like you're looking at this in a Nintendo vacuum. There are many companies in this industry that don't clearly communicate everything to the customer (even Sony and Microsoft) but I agree it is a prominent problem in regards to Nintendo. I just thought it was silly to point out they should have to communicate this. If anything they should be giving as much clarity on this console as possible.

Yeah, the real question right now is, well, how did Blaster Master Zero become a Switch launch game all of a sudden? It was first announced as a 3DS eShop title releasing in Spring.

NNID = The account you used on 3DS/WiiU
Nintendo Account = The account specifically for Switch which is then linked to a NNID or started from scratch

MyNintendo = The account you use on the Nintendo websites to track your coins and stuff, you can then link your NNID/Nintendo Account to this

I do hope they decide to go ahead and give discounts for VC games, doubly so if they give discounts for digital game ports (that seems like the real pipe dream, but then maybe retailers will deal with it if it means higher adoption for the Switch, nevermind GameStop can always do a trade in promo to match them.)
