You assume that, with several months to prepare for only one show, that he wouldn't do at least a little bit of homework.
Oh yeah what Inoki was doing was just ridiculous. What he did to new Japan was criminal. It was a big shame Baba passed away before the MMA boom in Japan as he would never of done what we saw Inoki do.
He is part of Bullet Club, but no this is not the Wrestling Promotion that he has been setting up since leaving TNA.
This is an institution and a legacy.

Another thought I had...how will GFW handle the editing of NJPW wrestler themes that are copyrighted? Togi Makabe's instantly comes to mind, as he uses "Immigrant Song" by Led Zeppelin.
So, basically, he's in the exact same position King and Michael Cole are.

Even if you don't like Striker's commentary style, it's hard to criticise his professionalism - he's obviously done his research. I was pretty amazed at how mad some people were getting just because he pronounced Shins'kay as Shinsookeee.
Anywho, great job with the OP GodDuckman, I'm really hyped for Wrestle Kingdom now, can't wait for Okada vs Tanahashi VII.
This was how I felt when AJ dropped the title to Tanahashi (well, except the bit about being sick of Okada/Tanahashi matches that always turn out to be amazing), but in hindsight I actually kinda like the decision - Okada, presuming he does win, finally gets his big moment over Tanahashi at the Tokyo Dome, then AJ (having never lost to Okada) becomes the obvious choice for next challenger. Perhaps they milk it until Invasion Attack, which would be fitting if Okada defended the belt against AJ exactly a year after he lost it to him. Also, Tanahashi conceded the title of "Ace of New Japan" to Okada after their last match, but it was in name only - Tanahashi is still THE guy, so I'm interested to see if they pull the trigger and this is Okada's time to take over as the leading player.

Actually Okada did beat AJ during the G1. But it wasn't a title match, so I can see AJ still staking his claim for the title.
That's where I think they're going. AJ beats Naito, Okada beats Tanahashi, and then AJ challenges Okada.

I was willing to give this a shot and pay money for it just in the hopes of encouraging competition in the US until I checked my guide and saw it was 45 dollars. Get the fuck outta here.
I really want to order this. I have never seen a Japanese wrestling show and this looks so amazing. I have a question though I don't have cable box or satellite tv and I want to watch this with the american commentary. So how do I order this? Can I order it online and stream it to my tv?

I think the only way to get English commentary is to order it on PPV through your cable provider. If you don't have one, the only option is to stream it through NJPW World, which is about $9 a month and only has Japanese commentary (I think). No idea about streaming it on your TV. I'm guessing it doesn't support Chromecast so your best bet would be trying to see if it works on a Smart TV or on a game console's internet browser.
I've been looking for that promo. Is it on Youtube? ):

I couldn't find it, I was trying to also. Someone else may know where it's hiding but I had no luck on Dailymotion. I think it was a post-match promo which is even tougher to pick the right one.

I checked the G1 Climax 24 press conference, but that wasn't the one. Makabe does take a break from talking in Japanese near the end of his promo to say "I said 'This one is for AJ. Fuck off!'" Then you see Nakamura in the background almost burst out laughing.
Seeing Nak's and Okada's reactions or seeing them mess with each other has been one of the best parts about the G1 press conferences the past two years.
Okada was trying not to lose his shit, but sitting next to YTR made that an impossible task.
Oh yeah. How could I forget Yano deliberately trying to make them laugh?
Yujiro also. Last year Okada and Tanahashi were losing it over him bringing a porn star to the conference, and Suzuki had the usual death glare going on at him the entire time.
