Is there a performance guide for 1.3 yet?
My i7 2600 / 960 4GB is just not up to the task of playing this game smoothly. Bummer.
My god, it happened
You can't participate in any narrative stuff

If you use the GeForce Experience auto optimizer and then go to NVidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > No Man's Sky > set v-sync to ON and triple buffering to ON
does that help? It worked for me and others in this thread, though I have a 1070. The game went from choppier than the OG PS4 version to very smooth at 4k.
Here's to second chances and putting in work to do right by the consumers you let down initially, even though you could have taken the money and ran.
Uh, just started a new game, and something is very wrong. If I push the right stick right I turn normally, but if I push it left I just start spinning like crazy. It's basically unplayable. What the fuck. Surely this isn't a feature of Survival?
Make sure you dismantle any non default tech for resources in any ship you leave behind.sucks that you cant get the money from your olds I guess (well, by fixing up a crashed one and leaving your old one behind I mean)
So how is it post-patch? This thing has been on my wishlist since launch, but I held off originally due the initial somewhat negative reception. But its 60% off on steam this weekend plus this giant new patch.... good time to dive in?
I've seen some posts in the thread about performance issues... any concerns there?:
GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz
Memory: 16 GB RAM (15.96 GB RAM usable)
No Mans Sky 1.3 vs Elite Dangerous... any advice (I don't have either)?

I had luck disabling the Nvidia Overlay/Sharing thing in the general settings in GeForce Experience. Helped performance significantly with my 770.Is there a performance guide for 1.3 yet?

I thought the same thing until I did this fix. I hope it works for you.Great, going to try that now. Either way, performance on a 960 is just terrible with this game. Thinking I might get it on the PS4 while it's on sale...
Wow (not mine)
Daaaaaamn, what the hell! Please tell me that isn't a modded PC shot.
This thread kind of blew up since I last looked but is there a known issue with the expanded cargo inventory on the exosuits?
I've bought two and they don't seem to do anything? Maybe I'm just missing it since I haven't played in almost a year though.

Yeah, you can overheat it by holding it too long, but I'm talking about when you let go before that happens. Then the heat meter starts going down somewhat slowly, but if you then start mining again it instantly drops to zero so you have the full meter to work with again. That at least LOOKS glitched to me, or otherwise just doesn't make sense. Why would it cool down FASTER when I start mining again before it has cooled down? The expected behavior IMO would be that it would start building up from the level it was at. Whatever, it just makes mining a bit faster, but it feels a bit like I'm exploiting a bug.
Where is the blueprint for the Cuboid Room? I see all the other cuboid parts in the base blueprint vendor but not the one for the room itself. Is it associated with a quest or in a space station...?

Now that's the No Man's Sky I remember from the trailersWow (not mine)

Performance was dodgy on my overclocked 980. I started a 2nd playthrough with the Foundation patch after buying a 1070 and it made a huge difference. Had over 2 dozen mods running and still ran better.
But there's no gameplay reason for that to happen and would just confuse players!Imagine that planet rotating in the background
I'd imagine a CPU matters more than any GPU.Aaaaand that settles it. Since I'm not going to be upgrading anytime soon and because I cannot deal with this amount of slowdown I have no choice but to buy it on the PS4. Plus I get to contribute more to Hello Games and at the same time piss off the haters. Win win.
How do I summon my ship? I'm a 10 min walk away...
