They have nothing to do with each other. Vancouver will always have the most travel miles no matter what. Having the first home game at the end of October will happen once I hope.Shalashaska said:But it has everything to do with complaining about a schedule.
meh, at least when Vancouver loses in the Finals they keep it interesting.YakiSOBA said:heh, jealous much?
It is nice, but I noticed the other night was an overtime win, using most (all?) of their starters, against a Montreal team who was lacking Koivu, Kovalev, Markov, and had Carey "Mr. AHL" Price in net. I didn't see their other games though. *Shrug*Pochacco said:So yea - I know it doesn't mean anything, but the Sens went 7-0 in the preseason. Nice.
Mike Works said:MLSE and the Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that they have proudly acquired goaltender Tim Thomas from the Boston Bruins in exchange for the first 'go' in what was formerly, "go leafs go" and a second round draft pick. Leafs GM John Ferguson Jr. held a conference with Toronto media this morning, declaring his pleasure of acquiring a player who is sure to be a starting goaltender for seasons to come.

Me too.dem said:Jason Smith named Captain in Philly..
I think im going to miss Jason much more than Ryan

Ryan "f*ckface" Smyth was a poser whereas Jason Smith was a true leader.
Hmm. Will be interesting to see if Gagner sticks. I was pretty sure that they were gonna send him down to the AHL before the season even started.
MrToughPants said::lol Luke Richardson made the Sens lineup as a 6th dman, because of injuries, what a fucking joke! He's gonna get 2 minutes of ice time and somehow he's going to end up in the box for 10 minutes of minor penalties.

Not bad.dem said:Anson Carter was released. No contract for him. That concussion probably ruined any chance
The Oilers roster should look somethin like this
Penner-Horcoff-Hemsky
Torres-Stoll-Nilsson
Moreau-Reasoner-Brodziak
Sanderson-Gagner-Cogliano
Pouliot-Stortini
Souray-Greene
Staios-Pitkanen
Tarnstrom-Smid
Grebeshkov
Roloson
Garon

really lame.
They make really stupid decisions for things that are obvious. The wait for the first game of the finals last season?Kingpen said:Us Pens fans are going through the same BS. I don't like how the league started up this year. I can understand the London trip, but they should have started the other teams up on Tuesday/Wednesday of this week.
What is even more lame is that the Canucks have a back to back on Friday/Saturday, then a PPV game next Wednesday, followed by a back to back next Friday/Saturday. So since I don't buy PPV games, it'll be a week before I can watch them again.TemplaerDude said:regular seasons started but it's another 4 days, 6 hours, 50 minutes and 5 seconds till canucks start.

I dunno, I have a brother that's big into like, NHL analysis and stuff and he's pretty convinced they've got a decent chance of making the playoffs.twinturbo2 said:My question is, I live in South Florida, should I give a shit about the Panthers, or is it going to be another painful season?
You should always support the local team no matter their record.twinturbo2 said:My question is, I live in South Florida, should I give a shit about the Panthers, or is it going to be another painful season? bish, help me out, my dad keeps begging for me to go with him, but everytime I go, it's painful to watch the Panthers have a drug problem- as in, they keep getting drug up and down the rink...

Vokoun (sp?) in net will be a big improvement for them.
Are you talking about the Panthers or Marlins?TemplaerDude said:they've got a reasonably good if young team.
Yeah, but as a Dol-Phan, rooting for sucky South Florida sports teams is getting to me. At least there's NASCAR...Osorio said:You should always support the local team no matter their record.
