Makoto's best moments are spread throughout the game, whereas Haru's are focused around her S-Link, so it's hard to compare directly.

Not to mention that Makoto has the better look and voice, not to mention a motorcycle persona, but Haru has the better costume & her S-Link ties in better with Leblanc and the MC's living conditions.

Makes sense since it always seemed they had some past history. Makoto kept acting as if she looked familiar beyond the fact they're in the same year group. Feel bad for haru because she comes so late and has such a odd haircut that it's basically impossible to even consider her. Guess she's doomed to have evil fiancé in my games timeline.

Valentine's Day event, if you end up with Ryuji because you have no romances/ditch them all, he talks about the plans of the other dudes. Yusuke's got 6 ladies up on him and even Mishima is hinted at being with someone. So Ryuji basically says him and MC are such uber virgins that even freaking Mishima is getting more play then them.

They sound very similar actually, it just sounds more natural in Japanese, especially if you've ever watched an anime before.

I think the localization did a good job of matching voices - at first I was a bit disappointed by Makoto's for example, but when comparing the awakenings side by side, I actually prefer the English voice. (Or like it just as much)

Romance I feel was badly handled in P5 mainly because Canon does not mesh with it very well at all. Not to mention the bias towards Kawakimi as the only adult with Beach, School, Christmas and Valentines events.

Ohya grew on me and I rank her higher than Chifuya now lol.

Having finished up to Palace 5, Ann's "awakening" scene is my favourite of the bunch so far. They're all hype of course, but Ann just edges it for me. Her beatdown of Kamoshida and his cognition of her was great.

Hell, her arc in the first palace was a big reason as to why I romanced her. It's a shame the story doesn't really follow it up in any significant way.

MC jumps in the way to save her from an incoming pillar of doom in one cutscene in palace 4. Surely nothing confirms canon more than ingame cutscenes!
