The is show vacillates between being extremely dumb (everything with Eugene in hell) and extremely boring (everything else that happened in this slog of an episode). It's almost unwatchable.

I thought the Hitler stuff was pretty funny. Kinda reminded me of Bill and Ted's excellent adventure - where one of the most powerful people in the world is a nothing when removed from their time and place.Really great episode. Loving this season so far. The fight at the end was really well done, and the Tulip backstory stuff is interesting. Actually wasn't expecting him to be her husband. The Hitler stuff was weird, though.
It's been so long that I don't remember if any of this is from the book or if it's all original.
Does Cassidy not wearing wayfarers/aviators really bother anyone? Like in the comic there was hardly a panel without them.
He needed them because his eyes are sensitive to sunlight.
I think it would be kind of annoying on the show if he always didDoes Cassidy not wearing wayfarers/aviators really bother anyone? Like in the comic there was hardly a panel without them.

I assume this hell stuff is to show how Eugene comes back as a badass, which I think is how he's characterized in the book. I suppose it's all just thematic similarities than anything else.Pretty much nothing so far has been from the book.

I'd watch the show even if Cassidy was the only character left. I know, there wouldn't be a show without the other 2, but he is such a likeable character.

Damn Insomnia wrecking me.Tonight?

It's one of the best aspects of his character in the comics, so yeah.
I always thought he wore them becausehis eyes where all fucked up from years of drugabuse combined with his vampirism. There is a panel when he and Tulip is in a dark hotelroom and she asks him to put them on again. Mostly for how horrific they are.
But yes. It bothers me.
I swear I am watching a different show to the rest of you people.
Was Jesse a deranged sociopath in the original too?

I'm not following the numbers, but I can't envisage they're great.
lol, I have bad newsOh boy I hope the episode is not slow
At times?Viktor was right about Jesse being an asshole at times.
No. I mean sometimes, but he targeted his ire at truly heinous people. He didn't punch an innocent roommate to a pulp or send an innocent boy to hell, for one. He was a "lovable rogue" kind of archetype, not an uptight, pompous, piece of shit sociopath. Was Jesse a deranged sociopath in the original too?
