I got a month off, I been playing Ragnarok online classic again for a weeks now on loki classic lol. Got a monk to 82...time to dl this torrent

Because hitting things with sceptres and books was always fun!

(Besides, apparently you get a skill reset but get locked out of Acolyte skills once you turn Monk)

Speaking of which, is Melee Battle Priest viable in this? Or is it really restricted with the Holy Spells / Support / Heal skill tree paths?

If not, I'll just go tank Shield Knight methinks, lately I've been preferring tank classes whilst playing more recent MMOs...

I don't think builds outside of what each advanced class does will be viable. Like DPS for healers, Tanking for warriors, etc. Each path is its own role.

But who knows, you can allocate stats any way you want to, so I bet you can still make builds like that.

I think I'm gonna called the GAF guild either "RaGAFnarok" or "RagnaGAF"

I was downloading via the game downloader and it was going ok but the torrent was faster so I canceled it, and the torrent got to 4% and stopped. :< Starting over with the game downloader.

Is there anything I need to do after installing?

Open it to patch up to the latest patch (1.3).

Looks like Sorcerers have more AOE heals than Priests, who are single target healers.

EDIT: Guys, I got the list on a notepad file, I'll keep track :p

Sorcs are more of a hybrid class, they dps while tossing out aoe heals or a pet that heals.

You could go pure dps on them or pure heals but in the long run of looking at things that looks like a major waste.

Sorcs are kinda like a moonkin and restro druid *if you played wow* rolled into one doing both jobs at the same time

And priest are pretty much THE healer

Edit: And for those trying to download the game, I'm getting 1MB/s from the dler.org torrent. And plus it's already updated to v1.3.

Also from the forums.

raid dungeon bosses drop Tokens instead of items, these tokens may be exchanged in prontera for violet colored items(epic items)

Token Colors and classes are as follows

Red Token - Wiz/BeastMaster/Warrior
Yellow Token - Rogue/Ranger/Sorc/Knight
Blue Token - Priest/Assasin/Monk

in KRO2 however I believe they had removed rogues from yellow token and added them on the red token

man stoneskin looks like one amazing buff for monk. Looks like I'll be tanky dps subtank, +35% max hp, +200% DEF, +300% aggro generation

I remember the first footage of RO2 years ago back when dynamic polygon grass was omg and high poly counts were for top spec pc users only, I always thought that it came out in japan/korea or where ever but never had a huge following, I was so excited for it years back.

Got it downloaded. Updated to 12/25 update and ran it (obviously no servers are up) but I should be good to go. The game takes incredibly long to open etc.
