Oh no that post is real I believeI thought "They just shot themselves in the foot" was the original post about FFXIII. The one I quoted is something I've never read before.

Is this one satire too? It's getting hard to tell who the crackpots are and who are just mocking the crackpots.
It's posted on Ubisoft's forum as a sticky....see below
London, UK — February 7th, 2013 — Today, Ubisoft announced that its forthcoming title Rayman Legends, already announced for the Wii U TM system from Nintendo, will also be released on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system. All versions will now hit shelves in early September 2013.
The Microsoft Xbox 360® and Sony PlayStation® 3 versions of Rayman Legends are being developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, the same team behind the Nintendo Wii U TM game. Rayman Legends has been praised for its stunning visuals and innovative gameplay by media around the world and labeled as one of the most anticipated platformers of 2013.
“ We heard from many Xbox & Playstation owners and Rayman fans who told us they really wanted to play Rayman Legends on their current system”, says Geoffroy Sardin, EMEA Chief Marketing & Sales Officer. ” We decided to give the fans what they wanted while at the same time broadening the audience exposed to this innovative and memorable game.”
Rayman Legends retains the fantasy appeal of its predecessor while adding a multitude of clever and entertaining gaming modes, new characters, new environments and a new soundtrack. The award-winning team of artists, designers and composers from Origins has also returned with an advanced UbiArt engine to include multi-dimension gameplay elements, an improved lighting system and updated game rendering that elevate Rayman’s graphics to the next level.

Dude... you should know that one.
Help me out here, is this sincere, or is it satire?

Bracing for further clickbait.
I'm a dunce. I don't recognize it. The reason I asked though is because he's normally a level-headed poster. My apology for doubting you, Squiddy.
Microsoft does it quite a bit. They're obviously not the sole test group for the project, but it's not unusual for companies to have internal beta tests.
Ah, interesting. Never heard that before today. In this case, yes - children, 6-10 (or somewhere around there).
Friends and family playtests and betas aren't uncommon.
Sincere. GAF has a fair few WiiU owners it seems that do not own PS3's and X360's to enjoy the slew of content released in these here months. Losing Rayman from the release calendar must feel a lot like the floor under them has just disappeared and the universe has become very very cold.
And Nintendo fans with your impassioned "WON'T BUY/WILL BUY 2ND HAND AND SPIT ON IT" posts, this is exactly why another stigma exists amongst third parties on bringing their games to your systems. One imagined slight later and grudges become set in stone; sometimes its better to just not even try.
And PC version will release after September, right? Just as Origins.

Looking at Uplay on Miiverse is hilarious.
I wonder how much Nintendo screwed themselves by having Rayman the only playable demo.
I bet many people just walked away from the kiosk in dissappointment
I think this is more Nintendo than Ubisoft. They never really liked Rayman. They don't heavily support games that compete with their first party offerings.
Ah, interesting. Never heard that before today.

Thread is going to need a health warning soon. Bonus points to the people that won't be buying it out of spite now. Guess you didn't really want to play that game too much, huh?
This reminds me of the Bayonetta 2 thread but in reverse... I find that many find it amusing that Wii U owners got burned by a game that was less than 20 days away.

And because we’re developing for Wii U, we don’t have to worry about cross-platform optimization.
Why do people think this?! They were still playtesting the game with family of employees at Christmas
GRAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH
I FEEL LIKE I'M TAKING CRAZY PILLS
We made the tough decision to push back the release so we could offer it on multiple platforms
The gamepad stuff is really kind of fun, too. I guess they'll use Kinect or Sony's motion stuff somehow for that now?
Ah, interesting. Never heard that before today.

Yep but for some reason they don't realize that.

This only fuels fanboy fires, not sure how many really will end up picking up Rayman Legends on PS3 / 360 at full price during the same month that GTAV comes out.
Be honest you find Wii U owners salty tears amusing but seriously this game will be ignored by you until you have finished your big holiday AAA titles. Not even talking about your PS4 launch titles and Xbox next titles. I would really love to see how many people thanking Ubisoft for this port actually end up supporting it before the bargain bin.
Wii U owners just got screwed, this is just not good for the health of the platform, the issue is Feb. 26th was not that far off.
The major news here is what is going on between Nintendo and Ubisoft relationship.
This is as harsh as EA announcing the Mass Effect Trilogy before Wii U's ME3 Special Edition.
Wii U owners don't have to do anything out of spite. Just like you have GTAV coming September and other AAA titles around that same time. Wii U owners will have Nintendo IPs they want to invest in during that time. Right now was a great time for Rayman Legends for us Wii U owners. September will not be a good time, we just got burned... of course if Nintendo drops a major first party the same day as Legends the choice is very clear that Ubisoft will have to wait to get my money.
Fair is fair... be honest will you support Rayman Legends this September or is the only reason you are posting happily here is because you are enjoying the fact that Nintendo just got burned a little more?
Heard this news on the way back from work, the only thing which hurt most from this was the delay to September as I was hoping to pick up the Wii U alongside this game.. this was one of my most anticipated games of 2013. The fact that it has gone to PS3/360 doesn't affect me at all (unless porting the game to these consoles were the reasons for the delay), in fact, the more people playing it, the merrier... but the gameplay videos and demo really made me jump to joy about the possibilities and excitement of the gamepad and the Wii U itself.
This is still one of the games to look out for this year in my opinion, and I will pick up a Wii U but it's quite sad to hear about the delay.
Oh man why do you have to quote this. There is a reason why I keep an ignore listPathethic. You are a spiteful being.
Ha, I know that guy. Epic.Looking at Uplay on Miiverse is hilarious.
