Ok I need to ask is it in US so easy to begin your own studio ? cause these days you can't stop hearing of dev's opening their own studio.

technically, the process of starting your own studio is insanely easy. a few legal documents, trademarks, etc and you're done.

the difficulty comes in when trying to establish something more than your one or two man team, building small scale stuff. between what I am sure this guy made in utterly insane royalties and what he can seek in investor capital, he can probably make a studio that will be bigger than most random devs starting their own thing.
