Rock Band is the first rhythm game to simulate a full band experience. A group of up to four people (consisting of vocalist, guitarist, bassist, and drummer) can rock out to any of the hundreds of songs available within the game. Harmonix have fully embraced the digital distribution model and offer an abundant amount of additional content available for purchase each week.

On 7/17/09, Harmonix announced the upcoming Rock Band Network. This new addition to the game is set to be released later this fall. With RBN, bands and labels with access to their own master tracks will be able to be supplied with all of the tools that Harmonix uses to create downloadable content. This has the potential to an extremely groundbreaking new feature!

Can't wait for part 2.

Girlfriend and I are passing on the first one. We'll buy the first ones disc but I'm hoping for better equipment for the sequel.

Is They Say (Scars on Broadway) a good buy? Will be mostly playing it on guitar and drums.

Could check out the vids for it on youtube to see if they're too your liking. Seemed kind of boring to me.

I'll miss posting in the old topic :(

Not much will change though, this thread will likely have the usual flow:

Friday morning: Rampant speculation about upcoming DLC announcement. Many pictures of popular female artists posted.
Friday afternoon: DLC is announced, people complain about the selection.
Tuesday: Talk about how the DLC is actually kind of fun.
Other days: "Harmonix I want this band as DLC! Make it happen!"

Throw in some complaining from PS3 owners and Europeans and you basically have the old thread.

*Claps*

Please be timely and consistent on posting new DLC. I'm too lazy to log on or look or look at other sites.

You should merge this thread with the others.

I can tell this thread will be epic.

I'm going to try pre-order RB2 and the drum kit this weekend, hopefully the release date in Canada is the same as the US.

Thank goodness it was only a typo, I was afraid you were really expecting it within a day and were going to be furious and take it out on me :lol

Yeah, but not on the COOL instruments.
Eh? I'll have the new drums by then. Still don't care for the strat, so we'll be using Les Pauls, and hopefully I'll have my wireless mic rigged up by then. Should be an awesome show!

Pfft. You and your lack of solos, effects switches, edged fret guards and photo sensor amuses me.

Fine for me. I hate the noisy click. I trust myself enough to keep rhythm.

At home I have the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 2.0. The scroll wheel doesn't click at all either. It's all smooth.

Helps develop a better sense of judgement than relying on other senses.

I wonder how different it will be from the actual album version.
