Oh yeah I remember that pic. So that's 4,75 paid cars per month + 1 free per month. I guess that's enough, hopefully there's a bunch of classic/japanese/american/tuner cars.

I guess I'm buying the season pass then.

Not impressed with that list whatsoever, was really looking forward to Driveclub but the lack of Subaru WRXs, Mitsubishi Evos and other popular Japanese sports cars has turned me off the game for now.

I'm more than happy to be proven wrong and they'll be included later. There's just something about having access to cars that are somewhat attainable in real life, taking them out on the virtual track and flogging the shit out of them.

I have fond memories of racing around tracks in Forza and GT in cars I've actually owned (used to have a WRX, Evo 6 and a Mazda MPS) which is half the fun of these games.

The car list definitely could be better but people not buying the game because of it... that's just stupid.

I'm not that big of a racing game guy (enjoy the heck out of GT and PGR4 tho), but these past days, even though there have been incredible trailers and gameplay shown at TGS, I just cant keep DRIVECLUB out of my head. Its really starting to irk me xD


btw: can you say wether we will be getting Lambos or if they are exclusive to another game-franchise?
also the Jag F-Type is coming too right? ;)

I didn't realise even cars in racing games are now part of the exclusives battle, if it's to be believed that Lamborghini is exclusive to Forza.

As someone who isn't really a racing fan I am pretty stoked with that list although seeing some American Muscle in there would wet my whistle a little more.

Ahhh fuck it......I would be happy racing these tracks on a pushbike if it means I get more time to admire the scenery :D

Bah, not many normal cars and no Lamborghinis? This will be easy to just use the ps+ version (didn't like the micro transactions so wanted to not buy anyways but might of if good enough but for me no Lamborghinis is a huge deal breaker in any racing game and gt has spoiled me for liking to get normal cars like my Celica).

I hope people aren't right and forza now has the rights. Must be new if so because this is the first racing game I've seem without Lamborghinis.

Well sadly EA/NFS has the exclusive rights to Porsche.
Not that big of a Porsche fan, but hey, it sucks for other games (Sims).

And since FH2 has a Lamborghini featured on their cover and its the first car you're introduced to, it might be that they've locked down the rights to feature Lambos in games. :/

They're not. But since they arent featured in DC (which is a EU-centric list) they might be.

Dan Greenawalt said they weren't buying exclusivity with cars anymore for Forza, so unless things have changed in a years time I don't think that's the reason Lamborghinis are not present.

I came to accept the low frame rate, but no American cars? Not going to be buying this one anymore. I was pretty excited too with all the recent videos. Oh well..... hopefully DLC will improve this list.

I should have said have released rather than are releasing. I know that DriveClub is more of a Grid 2/PGR/NFS style game. I would still consider FH2 somewhat of a competitor as it's more of a cross between a simulator and an arcade driver.

I'm not saying this thing needs to have 200+ cars at release or anything. But just feel like there isn't a lot of variety there. Aside from the Venom GT, I don't see a single other American car in the list.

I feel like each class is missing some great cars. I just expected probably another 20-30 more cars in there that just aren't. Call it personal preference but I was surprised. Because even if it is an arcade racer, cars (and tracks) are still the meat and potatoes of any racing game IMO.

Gah, I really need to buy a PS4 so I can play this. Excellent car list, ESPECIALLY with the Audi RS6 Avant. We always need more wagons in racing games!

True. Sadly, all racing games from here on out are going to withhold some classics so they can be added as DLC.

I hoped for this few. The problem with too many cars is balance; you're far likelier to get a cars which are overpowered which decreases the viability of all the others.
So you'd probably see more variety here than in a 1,000 car GT5.

wonder if they'll bring Japanese cars along with a Japanese themed pack including Japan as a location? Bit of drifting your RX-7 down the mountainside through the fog, then blasting through a cherry blossom lined road next to a lake, with Mount Fuji in the background i your GTR.

For me its a great list. I never drive any of the Japanese or American cars in these type of games.

Shame about the Lambo's though (at launch)

Chrysler 300 SRT8 would be a fun addition.

The list is nice but when you have the M135i and the M235i it does feel a bit samey. Would have been nice to take out some of the German cars and put in some Japanese/American cars instead.

They can address this with DLC though and if the 9 free cars they give us have some nice variety then it will be fine.

I think my top 5 addtions would be

Nissan GTR Nismo
Lexus LFR
Lamborghini Aventador
Chevrolet Corvette Z06
Ford Mustang Shelby GT500
