Idk about tweens, but I'm usually not in the downtown during pax and didn't know it was this weekend so when I went up I was little shook.

I've never seen so many overwatch shirts in one area.

I saw one pac man and one Mario shirt so I don't think there is much crossover. The Bumbershoot uniform is leotards and body paint or actual lingerie. It's weird as can be. Festival culture I guess. The heavy focus on on dance music contributes as well.

I've got my daughter down in the basement today with me while I'm working. Our brick house is too hot to not have windows open and fans blowing, so we're down here not breathing in the smoke.

Yeah, I had my windows open this morning and then left them open when I went to work. whoops

I closed all my windows and set a timer on my portable A/C unit. It's still going to be super hot in my place when I get home from work, hopefully just not unbearably so. I've got some Destiny 2 to play tonight!

E: Just got home, worked out pretty well. Probably because it's not as hot as predicted today.

I work in a Georgetown factory. We already have bad enough air as it is :( The industrial dust and smog was mixing with the ashes to create a choking mess today. Was like a red, ashen hell.

Ok maybe that's a bit dramatic, but still.

What the fuck is up with the forecast still being warm weather and no rain into next week? I didn't move here to not get rained on. I fully expected by September we'd be done with the heat and we'd have nice overcast/rainy days again :/

Summer started late so this is OK by me. f the smoke clears more, especially.

I go to Dr. Maria Wise at Swedish in Queen Anne. They're good but you may get random GP depending on scheduling urgency. Having the Swedish network is useful for referrals and equipment too.

Thanks! I'm used to having an exclusive GP, but it seems pretty hard to find anyone. Probably should just give in and go with Swedish/UW/polyclinic.

Cinerama is great. I like Siff Cinema, too. I mostly go to Sundance/AMC Seattle 10 since I can walk there from my house and it's 21+ with reserved seating and alcohol.

Marination Makai - Alki Beach/Capitol Hill (but really, you should go to the one at Alki)

Frank's Oyster House and Champagne Bar (the fried chicken and the burger are killer) - U District/Ravenna

And grab teriyaki somewhere. Quintessential PNW fast food.
