Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus |OT| Life Returns to Vita

I recently bought a home and for the first time in my life i now have to actually make conscious purchase decisions. I wish that didn't have to start this month in particular, seeing as how I already have to get The Evil Within, Samurai Warriors 4, and Bayonetta 2. But damn do I want this game...

Sound like you should buy this game.

That's too bad. I was planning to go with Homura's group after the Gessen one. Yozakura is love.

There was a cheat code in the JP version. Don't know if it still work in the Us one :

Hold L + R and :
XRVELlE.jpg

Tada ! You get an Homura.

What's the PS TV situation here? Will it be supported at launch or later, and is there any reason to prefer the Vita specific to this game (eg not "dat oled" "suspend" etc)?

JP version came out before Vita TV existed, so they had to patch it to support it. I'm assuming Western version supports it from the get-go.

Thank, but I'll take people's advise to progress the game normally to fully get the story.

I won't give too much spoiler but I also strongly play it like (Gessen & Hanzo) -> Hebijo -> Crimson. The Crimson story is clearly designed to be enjoyed after player has seen all stories.

Additionally, you''d better play each character mission (5 * 20) after you beat the main story for all 4 groups.

Thanks for the advice, as I was planning to play Crimson Squad first
Homura is the best

Save the best for the last, while enjoys the second best first. Pretty good for me :p. Sound like the game is quite lengthy.

It's also has customization, right? Not just about appearance, but things like characters' skill or something?

First of all, thanks for the answers. I already knew about DLC not working, which is why I definitely will set up an American account. However, I will probably not change the account every time I want to play the game since I am lazy. Since online play seems to work, the only problem will be that I'll have 2 seperate save files, but it shouldn't be a problem playing through the game twice anyway. Good to know that it will work out that way.
Glad others were able to report in on my mistake!

Just a few more days people, can't wait! I will be picking this up alongside Tears to Tiara 2 on Tuesday xD

Oh right, so when I was paying off the rest of my pre-order yesterday, they mentioned they were doing midnight releases for two other games (I think one was Borderlands), so I could pick it up then. Though considering it's on the other end of town & I already gotta go in for class, I'll just wait until Tuesday morning. But for others that pre-ordered at GS, you might get lucky & be able to pick it up at Midnight.

It won't be compatible right away, but it should be compatible shortly after release -- there were a few complications with this title that needed to be taken care of.

Akiba's Trip shooooould be compatible from launch, though. Keyword "shooooould." ;)

(Partially because of the touchscreen puzzles, though, I'm afraid Ys Celceta will likely not be compatible at all until we're able to release the patch for it -- which we are looking into.)

Has Amazon confirmed shipping for anyone?

I preordered this and Fantasy Life at the same time and got a release day shipping confirmation for Fantasy Life (10/24) today, with no word on Shinovi Vs. which is supposed to release in 6 days.

Thanks for this info, particularly on Ys. Really hope you do bring that patch.

How much is Burst on the Eshop right now? Might buy it if it cheaper than months ago (I think it was 29.99 or 34.99?).

Though I already pre-ordered this. Might as well play the prequel rather than reading/watching summary of the first game.

I microwave steaks.
My playstation tv will be ready.

edit : sad that it's not going to be compatible at launch, but the inevitable patch is good enough.

Nothing yet here, and I pre-ordered the day they started taking them.

I passed on Burst, but there's no way I'm letting a physical copy of a game like this escape me. I need me some old school brawlers on the go. Plus, the team made the Ikkitousen PSP games, so I know it's at least gonna be fun to do sick combos. Am I missing out on a lot of the story by not playing Burst?

Thank. It's always Japan with their weird ass way of naming a novel's title.

That made my heart sink a little considering the JP got a patch. I have faith that you guys will come through though. I bought Ys again just so I could play it on the big screen!

just finished watching all of the intro videos, Shiki, Minori, and Murasaki all look super fun
Murakumo, Imu, and Minori look the most interesting to me, with Yozakura not too far behind.

Also, hearing reports that this game won't be shipped out till the 17th due to a delay. I can't wait ANOTHER week for this game. XSEED pls.
