I have yet to complete one of those side missions where you're supposed to kill everyone but not get hit once. Some jerk always gets a cheap shot in while I'm in the middle of a combo. U guys ever finish those?
Come to the Dark Side.

Seriously, master the dodge. Just block for a while and wiggle the control stick back and forth whenever they're about to perform the finishing move of any combo. You'll dodge around an enemy and time will slow down for a short period of time. Ample time to wail on and finish someone off (usually a group of someones).

And if you see someone charging a move, just hit the D-pad to roll away. You can't get hit while rolling. Make sure you hold down the block button the whole time.

The key is to be patient. That's really all there is to it. Combos will not win you the free fights. Patience and dodging will.

OIC, I seldom use charged moves thats why. But that somersault move is present when you do a counter(pressing block the moment enemy hits you and press A) when there are a few enemies around too.

I've done lots of fully charged low strikes with the MK-III (Gamble Fight), and Travis has never gone all jedi like in that video. I normally get one dramatic swipe that kills a crowd. Parries, on the other hand...

Umm, no it's not.

There was some sort of parry in there or something. I've never seen that and I've done plenty of fully charged low-stances.

No, there was no parry involved in that move.

Go to the school and enter the free-fight mission with the Mk. III. During the countdown, press and hold Z to lock on the guy directly in front of you and press and hold A to begin charging while in low stance. Once fully charged, let go of A to strike down the first opponent. After the first hit connects, keep holding Z to lock on to the opponent on the right and immediately press A, and the mid-air slash then connects with this opponent. After that, you can even lock on to a third enemy to dole out another death strike.

Sorry I wasn't specific enough before.

Okay, just tested this in the Gamble Fight. You don't need to release Z, just keep spamming the A button after the charge attack. Pretty damn awesome. I killed 117 guys without even breaking a sweat.

Goodbye MK-II, you no longer have a purpose.

EDIT: 120 kills on the next try.

I had wondered why people could ever prefer the Mk. II. This move alone makes it useless in comparison.

It's also great for the free-fight missions where everyone has guns. Groups can be dispatched quite quickly. Timing is everything!

I just beat it... awesome ending... really kicked the game up a notch in my book. I felt there was something missing in the middle section of the game, but not anymore after beating it.

Really loving the combat even more now that I've figured out how to do everything (especially the slow-mo dodging), so I'll make another runthrough on Bitter.

Yep! And the infinite battery upgrade is extremely helpful with those gun wielders, too. The automatics can really drain your energy if you get caught blocking a flurry.

So... I finished the game but chose "ending " instead of "real ending". I save the New game + in another slot, but I can´t select the previous one... how can I watch the true ending?
Does it worth it, or I could just youtube it?

Don't youtube the real ending. You'll want to select it. You can load up your previous save through the "data" tab (i believe) in the pause menu.

You really do want to watch the true ending. If you haven't saved over the slot you should be able to load it again from the '+' pause menu, or from the game start screen after you've saved at a toilet again.

Both are just theories at the moment though.

Travis would say it like this: "What the fuck are you talking about?! Just who the fuck do you think you are?!"

This is the second game that I restarted as soon as I finished... I´ve never been so in love for a game since Super Mario Galaxy.

Will I like Killer 7? The gameplay is totally diferent so I´m afraid I might not like it as much as I want to...

I just started this game tonight... :)

- I love the NES-like sounds and interface...

- The overworld... well... I didn't mind at first, but after spending more time on it... it really does suck...

- Waggle is fun... :p... at least so far...

- It makes me sad that the game's framerate is not constant [specially during the main story missions]...

- Travis's obsession with anime girls creeps me out [MOE~]...

- I'm not catholic, but +1 to Suda for including the Virgen de Guadalupe...

- Why if I fail a mission, I've to travel back to the K-Entertainment building to be able to try the mission again? Traveling = wasting time... if the overworld wasn't so horrible, I'd not mind that much...

- Is there any way/place where I can watch the moves the game teaches you in the tutorial? Or see the moves you've available?
Before fighting the first boss, I found a note on a wrestler mask and then I got a message that said "You have remembered an old move..." or something... what's up with that?

Well many people has been disscusing about the psicologic side of the game, I would like open the disscusion on the social aspect. The recurrent use of the Star is clearly a simbol of the comunism, it's not just a random though when you see a supermarket named "Tyranno Market Rex", or "Pizza Butt" (Pizza Hutt) portrayed like an evil organizations or when the jobs guy calls to you 3rd class people. Another simbolic character is the russian drunk man (I don't remember his name) he's is the testament of the fall of the Sovietic system, he's confined to a reduced sad bar, he's is almost excluded from Santa Destroy, the way to get to Gold Town* is somekind hard, it's almost hidden. In some way he still closed in his own believes, and his own ideals believes. This guy has big knowledge, he teach you
killer 7 techniques under another names, by instance Memory of Mask; Mask of Smith, Memory of Child; Con Smith, Memory of Woman; Kaede.
the way I think he teach you this tecniques under another name, is the feel of danger about speak non conventional or anti-system things. The code used by socialist and commies groups during states of represion is patent here.

There another culture references but they aren't social or political.
Travis name comes from the main character of Paris Texas movie.
TIE racers, beam katana, Dark Side, Dark Star (Death Star), father and son relationship revelation, etc. all comes from Star Wars

Final battle between Travis and Henry reminds me Liquid and Snake battle, they're twins too. So Dr. Naomi reference.

Pure White Lover Bizarre Jelly, seems to have a vague conection with the Smith's song "Bizarre triangle of Love". The Smiths band was the reason of the Killer7 Smiths.

Helter Skelter the Beatles song.

Sylvia Crystel, the name of a famous french? porn star.

*Gold Town: can be seen like a perfect utopic "Gold" place? or just to be seen like a Golden Beer place?

That's all I can remember right now.

Man, I wish there was a faster way to make $2,449,199LB to pay for all the remaining clothes, katana upgrades and rank 1 entry fee on bitter.
I don't feel like doing Assassination Gig 18 x 24 times :|

And somehow the 'secret detector' part for my katana isn't showing remaining lovitov balls on bitter... I have 2 left... >:|

Should have gotten them all on Mild. Considering I found 45 in a day, it's not that hard. Check the menu map for goldish dots though. Also, try checking south near the Mexican boarder and north. The remaining Lovikov balls I had to get were at the far ends.

One area of the city that you seem to never visit is north of the interstate looking exit at the farthest north part of town. I found my last two or three balls there along with two or three dumpsters. Also, if anybody else has gone up there, and really really far up there, seen the what I saw at the desert looking area, and started thinking about where in the US is Santa Destroy located, please confirm.

And when I say far north, I mean just drive and drive past everything. If you're on the west side you'll pass by the field and an interstate entrance. If you're on the east side you'll go past the baseball stadium and under an overpass.

Kinda ruins that theory.

In the end Sylvia show up her true feelings about Travis, she sounds like she fall in love with this otaku looser. But then again she's a master of lies.

Rank 7th here, I just realized im never gonna get bored of the swordplay because I just did the
"Kill 100 guys" job
and I enjoyed every second of it, both the gameplay and the presentation are great, which makes the sandbox stuff look even more bland than it is.

Also, thanks for still using spoiler tags.

But, then again, we follow Travis throughout the entire game, and considering the next day after the scene in questions starts off with Travis by himself in his apartment as usual...

Block of spoiler text incoming...

Personally, I feel that Travis and Sylvia shared a moment after that rank 4 mission, and that was the turning point where she, for whatever reason, fell in love. But they still had the bet on. She then ran off towards the end because she's a con artist and Jeanne was waiting for her fight, so Travis never had sex with her. Then, Travis and Henry look for an out during the real ending, and I'm of the camp that believes they offed each other, and are just a memory to be passed down, represented by the painting. Jeanne was, I guess, reincarnated, but at the same time, don't forget that there's also no reason to believe that the new Jeanne is Sylvia's child, or just a child she happened to meet after it was all over.

Yeah. Mexico. >_> Santa Destroy is in California, and apparently borders Mexico.

Got some questions:

1) Does finishing all Free Fights net me anything?
2) Does getting gold on all Assassination missions net me anything?

Correct, all speculation about Sylvia and Travis relationship is just that, speculation and theories.
Heavy Spoilers
I tend to think in Jeanne like a simbolic character, she represents the non existence of the good and evil, after all you can blame too much Jeanne for what she done, she done that for her mother revange, the same kind of revange for what travis is fightin for. Also she was 4 persons or "persona" (Killer7 language), she was Travis girlfriend, half sister, a cat and a little girl. To me the little girl and the cat represents the good side of this persona Jeanne, and the killer sister, the bad side.

What bothers me is that the border to Mexico is in the north part of town.

As for speculation and theories, let's just say the game's ending is open to interpretation.

And in retrospect, I'm kinda glad I played through Killer 7 before I found GAF and some other forums.
