The PS2 ads (well the creepy ones again) are done by TBWA-Paris. They recently did a PS2 commercials that's really messed up and NSFW as it features amputated breasts with their nipples being tweaked along with a rotating hand machine slapping asses.

I just LOVE the marketing campiangs from SCEE, they rock hard!!! Too bad we usually get conventional marketing from SCEA (aside from some cool ones, like PS9)

Very cool ads! I thought those were the new North American ads for the *OOPS!!* that's coming out in October this year. You know, the kind of ad that could mean "PS2 reborn" ...:D

(cause the first I saw was the "birth" ad)

hmm i always thought sonys ads were all in house. in ad class we're learning about different agencies including tbwa chiat day

Awesome stuff that just won't fly in conservatist USA. I'd love to see Nintendo do something like this (although I do like that Advance Wars DS ad of theirs (for different reason) with the American soldiers cleaning up a bath house).

Sony's European ads have always been more progressive/symbolic/risque than their US (more straight up) or Japanese (more goofy/cute) counterparts.

I actually think SCEE's ads often border on brilliance, they're more David Lynch/Kubrick experimental than other more literal (boring?) gamey ads. They usually win a bunch of ad industry awards.

Well, these adverts aren't doing anything in increasing my desire for a pink PS2.

They are worth a laugh of the 'What is this?' variety though.
