I voted for Octodad.
I thought "Slenderman" was a community creation/fake mythos created by the likes of 4chan after the Marble Hornets video series came out, rather than a copyrighted name by one specific person. Or maybe one person tried to do that after it was already becoming a common term?
You also seem to have chosen one of the worst screenshots of the Slender game, rather than highlighting one of the more in-game ones. I think I even made an effort to look at the La-Mulana page/screenshots but I don't really like the graphics and the way the game looks. =/ I guess different people are interested in different sorts of games.
I think this is a bit sad:

And then read this:
"People are making money off his creation (That Slender game is selling tshirts and shit off their website)
He (the original Creator of the SlenderGame) even says on his Deviantart that he does not give people permission to use Slenderman unless it is for personal use / within a small group of friends."
I think its sad, that more people vote for a Game, that seems to break a copyright and support developers that just try to "use" the success of Slender to make some quick money.
how do you guys feel about all of these mods/source mods that are on greenlight but want to be released for free?
not sure how i should vote. i mean its free, but its clogging up the system.
What?
I'm... I'm pretty sure Slender Man is public domain.
I mean.
Come on. That's like saying you have the patent for zombies.
He doesn't like people cloning his game? Better stop making things about stuff that a lot of people like, then. It's not like people are going in and stealing his art.
I don't exactly have any nostalgia for Wrestling games, or the N64 wrestling games in particular. But I voted anyway, because the idea does seem interesting enough. I always wanted to see a mass multiplayer King of the Ring styled wrestling game on PC with customizable characters. The idea could be fun if executed right.
This is like if there were 10 different Nyan Cat games or Honey Badger games on Steam Greenlight. It may not be copyright infringement, but it's still kinda lame. I'm downvoting all that crap.
Steam cloud support, Steamworks support (cheeves, stat tracking, etc), as well as automated updates. Those sorts of things could come in handy for multiplayer mods.how do you guys feel about all of these mods/source mods that are on greenlight but want to be released for free?

I guess the question is whether it takes too much bandwidth, since it will be mods that neither the producers nor the consumers are paying for, but still using Steam download etc. stuff?Steam cloud support, Steamworks support (cheeves, stat tracking, etc), as well as automated updates. Nothing shows up in my "Games you've rated" page. Steam has deleted my votes or lost them. Fantastic.
God this whole interface is abysmal.

I found this on the steam greenlight discussions. It shows the top (700?) games greenlight stats.

Nobody fucking owns slenderman. I don't know what that guy is smoking.
I love these forums.

Also my steam is stuck in Portuguese and I have no clue why.
I don't see anything wrong with people learning what Greenlight is actually for.
Pretty interesting, but, wow... that art.
Unfortunately how the first Higurashi game looked. I agree the art of the first game left something to be desired, but it was an indie game in Japan and had a very small team with no very talented artists. It was only after it released Higurashi became popular and got a manga, an anime, and other games. It's the writing and the twisted but interesting premise and mystery that got it where it's at.
There is a way to modify the game's files those and replace the sprites for the characters with later game's sprites to make it look much nicer.
I just had to watch it after that. I dislike video trailers enough as it is due to the amount of fluff-to-useful information ratio, but this just goes beyond the "wasting my time" thing.Edit2: Wow, the beginning of the trailer for VolChaos is so bad. Dude, if you are reading this, I suggest changing the trailer to only gameplay + music + Text. I assume you are losing many votes with that one.
lol stupid pplWell, yes, but he linked to that image as if to go "lol stupid ppl".
This is a bit unusual for me, like most I've been browsing Greenlight and reporting whenever I ran into content that didn't belong there, I always report fellow gamers for hacking, botting, scams, because that's the kind of snitch I am with cyber cop ambitions, sometimes successfully but often ignored (Diablo 3 bots still active weeks after reporting) but never have I received a thanks as a result until now, pretty happy with the automated gesture.

Eador. Masters of the Broken World was added to greenlight. Rock paper shotgun did a preview last year.
