I can't play Suijin at all now apparently, I get a million missing material errors and walls are invisible.
Quitting and relaunching the entire game seems to have fixed it.Happens.
Not sure how to fix it, quit to main menu or relaunch the game.

There'd be no reason to remove the maps. Maybe remove them from official server rotation, but outright removing the maps from the files is not only pointless, but it would only serve to anger the community.
Especially after denying Snowplow once before, only for it to come back, and then go away again, would be a rollercoaster of stupid that the community would feel outraged over.
There is definitely a point to removing them, which is reducing the game's already enormous file size.
TF2 isn't really that big compared to many other major games coming out on PC these days.
I'd say those games are more the exception than the rule.

Make sure you do the bonus points and the third contract to maximize your odds.Another 90 cent skin. 2.50 total sales thus far.

I have no idea if it's better rates or not. It feels like you're accomplishing something so I did them anyway.Bonus point give you better drop rates?
I did do the third contract.

Wait. No. I didn't read this earlier.

valve
valve please
What on Earth are they thinking? Did the Heavy need to be more of a tank? The Brass Beast is bad enough as it is.
i'm glad valve hired someone else to balance dota 2
When do these drops reset?
Thankfully Valve apparently added the official Valve servers back to the normal server list so you can sort by players, ping, etc. and just go to a good one. This is fun, but the quickmatch search is just horrible. slow and never finds servers :/

At least, until it changes map and materials start breaking and you have to restart the entire game and do it again.
If they follow the CSGO pattern, when this 'operation' (csgo's word, not sure what to call it in tf2) is over in 3 months, a new one will start with new skins and a new $5 thing to buy to get access to it.Have they said whether or not there will be more skins added as time goes on? Not seeing anything that gets my dander in the air
Technically it's a $5.99 thing! (at least for TF2)If they follow the CSGO pattern, when this 'operation' (csgo's word, not sure what to call it in tf2) is over in 3 months, a new one will start with new skins and a new $5 thing to buy to get access to it.
That may be true too. I just filtered by the "valve" tag but I don't know which is better.is _registered the tag for the official servers?
I can feel the addiction again, ugh! ;-)

I believe _registered means the server is eligible to be found via quickplay, but it doesn't mean the server is an official Valve server. Filter by the valve tag insteadis _registered the tag for the official servers?

Okay, thanks. Hopefully one day I'll see something to work towardsIf they follow the CSGO pattern, when this 'operation' (csgo's word, not sure what to call it in tf2) is over in 3 months, a new one will start with new skins and a new $5 thing to buy to get access to it.
What?

Is there a weekly time limit on completing contracts, or can you do them between now and the end of the event? I think I'll need to play 24/7 from now until September to get the engineer bonus contract points.
I haven't gotten any CSGO operations but someone told me it's the same way there -- if you buy an operation late you get a ton of missions available immediately. You can do them whenever. In the FAQ it says someone who buys the pin/operation/whatever at any time during the event will have all previous weeks contracts available to do, so it seems like they don't expire.
When do the new contracts start? Wednesday?
Is it too late to start now? Preferably I'd like to make my money back eventually.
As long as you buy the entry ticket before September (cut-off date for entry) you're fine, as you'll be given any contracts you missed from previous weeks.
Though it's hard to say for sure with fluctuating prices, if you have decent luck you should be able to make back your money after a few contracts, I personally was able to pay off the entry fee (and some) with a case I got with my third contract, though that's just my personal experience.
I turned in my first contract without knowing that there are bonuses
So there were 3 contracts so far, right?

Though I initially thought the bonus points would increase the chance for a rarer drop, I'm thinking it's just for badge points now as well.As far as I've heard the bonus CP only affects your badge progression. So it shouldn't help/hurt your mission reward drops.
