Just finished Divinity: OS Enhanced, and I while I know that it's not a new release I can't recommend it enough. Absolutely top tier.

I'll be lucky if I get through another playthrough of The Age of Decadence and then UnderRail for the month. I've also been playing a lot of EUIV. The hours just disappear.

Oh man, I played a bit of The Quest on iOS, it's a really really good game.

This month is utterly insane.

Looks like they jumped the gun in announcing Balrum's release date, they've decided to delay it until February now.

Another delay.

The gods of Balrum won't allow us to release the game just yet. We are sincerely sorry everyone but we simply need time to further polish the game for you. Things got over our heads. We hope you will stay with us for the additional time we need.

Here is an update on what happened:
The first half of the game is pretty much very well balanced and bug free. The second half is complete but we are having serious balancing issues. For the past few months or so we totally overworked ourselves and in the end this was the cause of everything. What does this have to do with Balrum? Not much. But we wanted to let you know. These days were really hard but please understand that we are doing this not only for Balrum but for you too. We won't ship a half baked product.

We will keep you guys updated.

Thank you for understanding.

Yours,
Balcony Team

Relevant to 2015 RPGs: with the current 20% off voucher you can get Shadowrun: Hong Kong for eight bucks on GMG.

I still haven't played through it with all the other stuff, so I can't recommend it directly, but c'mon, Dragonfall was great, this has to be at least decent.

I can recommend it directly, Hong Kong is quite good and a steal at that price.

Redshift just announced that they got The Quest greenlit. With a release date before Christmas.

This December alone is killing me. Underrail, Balrum, SaS: Underworld, now The Quest. Almost makes me wish I didn't spend this year catching up on and replaying RPGs I already owned!

If you haven't played it, it's like a turn-based Elder Scrolls. Huge world, tons of things to explore, lots of different builds to play around with. Don't let the ultra generic look put you off, it's a gem of a game.

I really should've finished one solid AoD playthrough instead of playing around with various starts. I'm on track to get through a grand total of one run before Underrail.

Underrail sounds cool, but I'm having a hard time getting over those visuals. Reminds me of the Spiderweb Software games like Avernum.

Apparently DW Bradley is still around:

He first released this in 2005 and has re-released it a couple of times now.

I just wish he would get his first non-sirtech RPG working on modern machines: Wizards and Warriors. It's a much better game.
