lets be realistic: in 3 weeks there are going to be a lot of people on our teams that aren't on our real life teams. just stay with the rosters you have now, bench people if you want but there shouldn't a mandatory benching of ricky williams or anyone else. i'll take that bald son of a bitch down all day long anyways!

all I keep thinking about the whole night while me and Ramirez are trying to connect to get our league game played is where the hell did they find these people that are responsible for the way these servers are working? honestly has anyone EVER seen an online game that functioned this badly?

lol. I told FMT I was not looking forward to the frustration that is ESPN Leagues online. That is why I didn't jump at getting into this league. Maybe next year Sega or Take Two will actually have the online components working before rushing the game out early to get out before Madden.

I just like to see what happened so I know for the future, you can tell if its a player rating thing or if it will just never work. The cardinals defensive playbook is as shitty as the team incase anyone was wondering. Btw, I didnt see a flag on my screen. The ball went 10 yards anyway.

no the ball didn't, it would have had to go to the 45 yardline, which it clearly did not. the flag icon came up, and then nothing happened. but, whatever, all's well that ends well, niners one step closer to the championship!

niners playbook isn't unlike the cards (infact, if its anything like last years, they are very similar) and my guys play up and down. some plays they make are awesome, but much of the time the simply watch the ball go by, don't go for INT's or knockdowns, and take probably the worst angles i've ever seen in a video football game.
the key isn't that great plays aren't made by the D in this game, it's that the defense is a lot like a box of chocolates, the only difference is that a box of chocolates has mostly good candy, whereas the defense in ESPN is mostly bad.

This was a strange game. Bob was totally destroying my run game and my short passing game but he was leaving me the big play. He doubled TO when in Man to Man, which is why Greg Lewis had a big game. Since he doubled TO the whole game it was easy to tell if was playing Zone or Man to Man. By the way, one of my INTs was because Bob asked me to throw to TO in triple coverage to see if he could stop him and he did with an INT. Both Bob and I agreed this was a very sloppy game with bad defense but it was a tight game as well, don't let the score fool you. As far as the stats go I thought they were pretty even, I had more passing yards, Bob had more rushing yards, we both had the same amount of INTs since I don't count the one he asked me to throw, I had 3 sacks to his 1, and he had more 1st downs. Good game Mr.Bob .

trust me dude, it didn't go 10 yards and i saw the yellow flag symbol come up. but it doesn't matter, shouldn't have even come to that. my D gives up 10 points in the first 21 minutes and 14 points in the last 3
Does anyone know of a league that has ever been played to completion? I joined a league and half of the people didn't even play the first week. I sent a message to the admin and he didn't even respond. I looked on the web site and he had a single post on the message board asking people if they were interested in playing and no responses.
I started a league with 15 other guys on another message board and so far (5 days later) they have played exactly 3 games in week 1.
This isn't a knock against ESPN or the problems with games not reporting or trades, they've done a reasonably good job and their web site league tie-in is brilliant. But people are just too busy or their times are too different (west coast vs. east coast) to get these off the ground. People talk about how ESPN has the better online experience because it has leagues. But I've never been able to get a league going in any sport. It's no ones fault, it just seems like people are too busy. :-(
