Looks like Tanner was introduced to the UK just in time.
We totally can export some episodes of Top Gear USA if you want
He's only a couple inches taller than Hammond

Clarkson must have killed someoneTop Gear will not be broadcast this Sunday
Clarkson is Top Gear. Unless the BBC wants to suddenly make significantly less money, Clarkson isn't going anywhere.

Dude is a piece of shit, but one people will watch. So he had to fuck bad.
I suspect the conversation about whether the money is worth the problems is occurring at the top levels of the BBC right now.
I'm willing to bet a few people are bringing up that Top Gear as we know it is getting long in the tooth and maybe it's time for a change now.
This reads like a badly translated blurb on the back of a bootleg VHS tape.
It's a nightmare for the BBC.
Sack him - as you said, less money.
Don't sack him - there will be a backlash of one sort or another.
Racism is okay. Fracas? You're off.
There's only so much someone can get away with though. As well as their star, the BBC is an employer and he's their employee. He shouldn't be untouchable.
But we have no idea what the fracas actually is. Verbal, physical, to what extent of disrespecting a producer it was... so, see what the outcome is. Suspension during investigation, if it's serious enough any decent employer should surely do that.
300 million people seem to disagree with you
No they are not
His career has been on a downward slope for a while now though.
Millions of people will now have to choose between The Voice & All Star Family Fortunes this Sunday.
I'm sure he will be back.
I think he's just getting more openly cranky and cantankerous and right-wing as he gets older.
Given what has just happened, here's a pretty strange Tweet from a few weeks back:

Don't think people will care that he fell out with a producer. Need more details about this fracas brouhaha hoopla.
Has it been filmed yet? I thought that whilst some parts were done in advance, and good chunk was also filmed week to week for things like news segments.I don't understand why they cant show the rest of the season?
Fire the face of money-printing Top Gear or sack no-name troublesome producer?
I don't understand why they cant show the rest of the season?
I think they will fire him. Top Gear should have a shake up anyway, I'd like to see it move away from being a comedy show and go back to it's routes.
I could see Sky (BSkyB) going HAM for Clarkson if he becomes available.
They film on Wednesdays and finish every film for the week's show that week.Has it been filmed yet? I thought that whilst some parts were done in advance, and good chunk was also filmed week to week for things like news segments.
Wasn't this season supposed to be longer than the previous few, too?
If it's Andy Wilman, then he's basically as responsible for the show as Clarkson.
I would be shocked to learn it was Andy. Aren't he and Jeremy good friends?
Going back to their school days, yeah.I would be shocked to learn it was Andy. Aren't he and Jeremy good friends?
Almost had me there...Jezza is Top Gear!
I know that no single person can be more than the show (or whatever) but you cannot get much closer to that statement than Jezza & TG.
I met Jezza once at a car show, he was a nice bloke when i met him, i didn't ask him for a autograph though, this is one thing he will not do & hates the whole idea of it, he has stated this on numerous occasions.
I think there is more to this story though, it is known Jezza can get angry quite easily & although TG is 99% scripted on occasions you can see that it is not scripted & you can see the presenters or a single presenter is not happy at all, maybe the producer pushed Jezza too far? i think for Jezza to have hit the producer which is what some people have said, of course it it wrong, but i think it would take something quite extreme for Jezza to hit a producer of the show.
The problem people have with Jezza is that he says what he thinks & doesn't care what anyone thinks of his opinion, now if more people were like this then the world would be a better place, what would it be like for example if politicians said it like it was?

I'm not really interested in directly comparing the two, but when it's words vs. violence, I could see reasonable people coming down on either side.
If the racism thing was more than words, then ignore me, I haven't followed that story.
Not really. They were taking the piss out of May because he had turned up late.
I knew it wouldn't be connected, but it just seems very fitting.Uh, that was a joke about James being late. Go look for Hammond's related tweet.
