Product Description:

Full House Poker is a video game featuring the popular poker variant Texas hold 'em that is scheduled to be released for Xbox 360 as an Xbox Live Arcade title and Windows Phone 7 on March 16, 2011. The game is the spiritual successor to 1 vs. 100, and will feature scheduled tournaments known as Texas Heat. Full House Poker will also offer TV-style live poker events with season-long tournaments and more traditional Texas Hold Em' matchups with up to 30 human or computer controlled players.

Full House Poker isn't simply notable for its inclusion in Xbox Live's House Party lineup. It's also one of the first examples of connectivity between Xbox Live on the console and on Windows Phone 7. Not only is it the first Xbox Live-enabled mobile game with Avatar integration, but players will be able to transfer their progress from the console to mobile, and vice versa. As an Xbox Live representative explained to Joystiq, "you'll be able to carry over both experience points and the bank roll you earn."

While stats will be persistent across both versions of the game, the connectivity doesn't run much deeper. For example, each title will have different Achievements that are "tailored specifically for each platform." It also doesn't appear there are any plans for cross-platform multiplayer support.

Full House Poker will be available on Windows Phone and Xbox 360 on March 16. While the XBLA version will go for 800 Microsoft Points ($10), the mobile version will be $2.99.

How are they trying to make players care about points or chips?

tournaments, avatar awards, table customization, player XP, etc.

fake money poker can still be fun and competitive.

Been playing a bit over the weekend -- it's quite fun. And a whole lot better implementation of Poker than Night at the Inventory -- even if it didn't have online multi.

Our review is now live on the site. We left this one in more capable hands than ours, that way we didn't lose our shirts/keys to the house while playing ;-)

Pretty sad my current financial situation prevents me from buying a freaking $10 game. Looks really good though.

If anyone happens to come across a code for XBLA though let me know I might have something in trade you'd want.

It's up on the Windows 7 Phone marketplace too now!

Does it have cross platform play? If so I will buy it on both platforms? :)

EDIT: Looks like I should actually read the OP :p, not sure if I will buy on both platforms now...

Screw it, bought on the phone will buy once I get home too.

Hah, had just gone all in too :p
Bigger bets next time.

Loking forward to playing in the serious texax heats and with loads of randoms in their crazy avatar gear.

Really tempted to get that gem bejewled suit for online.

Poker without real money has always felt boring to me.
Since there's no attachement like a player has with real money other players don't care enough to bet smart and such. Give a player fake money to bet and they just raise or bluff willy nilly.

It is what you make of it, I'd suggest a few things to avoid these types. I don't have this specific game but I have the old school Hold 'em XBLA game that came out long ago and I still play it a lot.

1. Play with friends

2. If you don't have any friends with the game, or not enough friends then just weed through the cheesers and befriend those players you do come across that do play legitimately.

3. Someone with the game should create a generic Live Gamertag so Gaffers can play with other Gaffers. Police ourselves and call out the cheese players and I guarantee you will have a good set of serious players to always choose from.

If you guys want I will go ahead and create a tag for everyone in here and you can just send a friend request to that account. Most of you should know what I'm talking bout because its common practice around Gaf in the OT Threads.

What do you guys think, want me to go ahead and create one? I don't have the game yet but will very soon when I dig up enough pennies ; )

Go for it Mizzou, add me Gowans007 I'll be playing this as much as I can this week.

POKER NeoGAF is locked and loaded. Please send a friend request to POKER NeoGAF if you want to be added to the list so you can play with fellow Gaffers.

Perhaps this information can be added to the OP. Any questions, concerns or problems just shoot me a private message on Gaf or the Xbox Live account listed above. You can also send me a message to my main 360 account which is- UR BUS IS SHORT or PSN ID- URide_A_Shortbus

Edit: PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR NEOGAF MEMBER NAME ALONG WITH YOUR FRIEND REQUEST

I liked the first poker game on XBLA, but only got it because it was free. It showed me that poker without money can actually be fun. Bought this on a whim and wow, it's perhaps the best money-less poker game I've played on a console (or on my iPhone). Can't wait to enter the first online official tourney. As a replacement for 1vs100, they're taking a risk by charging for the game, but here's hoping enough people stay interested in it to keep it going. Prizes in the form of spacebucks wouldn't break MSFT's bank, though.

Just a heads-up that the first season of the official online show apparently requires a download. It's listed in the Add-ons section of the store, and it's obviously free.

can´t play online, getting a "match has ended......." error and can´t connect to any games.

First official Tourney is 4:30 PM eastern time on Saturday. Tournies last a half hour. There will be a tourney starting every half hour until about 1:00am it looks like Saturday so you can play in as many as you want. The next night of tournies is Tuesday. That's all I see listed inside the game calendar at the moment.

I have only tried the wp7 version so far but it is pretty cool that you can earn money on the phone that will transfer to your console (online) game. That said I really wished the phone version had turn by turn multiplayer atleast where I could play with friends on the go.

Hmm. Now that "POKER NeoGAF" is around I might have to seriously consider buying this. Getting my regular crew together nowadays takes a miracle and knowing there's a fun but still serious group of guys instead of the typical "lulz wtf derp" players on regular Xbox Live just might have sealed the deal on this one.
