So here we go again. A couple of months ago we undertook the first GAF Tape project and it turned out to be quite successful. So why not do another.

Taking advice from people who did this last time. I've decided to do things differently. The theme of this tape is collaboration. Working together with other musicians is not only encouraged, but allowed.

If you want in. I'll need you to fill out this form I'll then put a list of musicians in the OP so you can contact them via PM. You can work with more than one artist if you want.

Melody, single chord, one beat, weird sound, speech, singing, whatever. Whatever you want to contribute. I will use all of the .wav files as the building blocks for an experimental piece. Obviously, I can't compel you to send me .wav files, but I'd love to put together a track that has everyone on it, even if it sounds like computers murdering an orchestra. Soundcloud is just a nice place to publicly show off all of your music, it's like YouTube but for audio. And then Bandcamp actually lets people purchase your music from you.

Soundcloud is basically audio YouTube and probably the best/easiest to upload your music. Bandcamp is great if you have a fanbase willing to pay for your stuff. It's the easiest place for people to upload songs/albums, set a price (even free/obo) and profit. They both have nice stat systems. Soundcloud's is basically YouTube's, but you can now see what users/sites/bloggers listened to your song. idk too much about bandcamp's, tbh. didn't use the site that much.

Cool I'm also new to collabos but yeah, unless we happen to work with the same software (I use Reason 5, also trying to learn how to use FL Studio but right now I'm pretty clueless about it) I guess we can send each other a .wav file with any melody or sound we come up with, and then the other person elaborates on that by adding new layers and instruments.

If you want to be the one to start the song let me know (same if you have an idea about the general style of the track, tempo, etc). Otherwise I can try to cook up something when I have a bit of free time and send it to you so you can follow up on it.

EastWest Hardcore Bass combined with Guitar Rig 5 is pretty good too. On the synth side of things, Diva (by u-he, the same people that made Zebra2) comes with a bunch of good presets.

By the way Rembrandt, FantasticMrFoxdie and I might need a rapper later on, would you be interested? We're still working on the track, but as soon as we have something listenable we could send it your way if you're down for it.
