Day one. Release date pls!
If so, then I officially don't like Sony's definition of 'early' (this and DriveClub).
March isn't early 2014?
They always said we will get new INFO in January, never said the DLC will be out.
The single-player DLC is currently planned for release around the December-January timeframe.
We could play the guessing game. My bet is on March 18th.
Oh that totally flew under my radar, thanks but this article is from Sep 27. They probably had to push it back a few months.
The price is right... really really can't wait to get more of Ellie and The last of us.
Honestly speaking, I was disappointed by this DLC. Big TLoU fan here.
I guess I wanted a side story, not a prequel to the main game.
We all know what happens, Ellie told us already.
Bought the season pass before knowing this would be the DLC. Would not have purchased it after knowing.
Looking forward to TLoU 2.
So just to clarify if I buy the season pass I get this DLC right?

Same. To be fair though, I think they're gonna surprise us. Neil Druckmann said on Twitter that it's recommended to have finished the game entirely already, so I doubt that they'd focus the DLC on an event that's already been mentioned in the game:Something else has to be the focus imo, maybe Ellie's development, or how she ends up with Marlene, as seen at the start of TLOU.Riley dying.
Hey hey already a whiney shitstorm of "15 bucks is too much for me" crap. Big surprise there.
JUST GIVE ME THE RELEASE DATE!
The season pass did include the single player DLC too...right?
Do you want lavishly produced cutscenes, lots of voice acting, unique art assets and set pieces? Okay, pay 15 dollars.
The price shouldn't be a surprise, of course some eight bit retro game that has none of the above is going to be cheaper...
Traversal/cutscene to gameplay ratio is priority here. I'm worried it'll end up being anything less than 50% for actual encounters. And if the dlc is less than 3 hours, then it's pretty much a rip-off.
And with our DLC, were trying to go even further past our comfort zone. There are a couple of long stretches in the DLC where theres no combat, and were trying to keep you engaged in other mechanics. Its going to be an interesting test for us to see how people will react to it.
15 is very expensive.
It sounds like they're taking a different approach to encounters
Seems like they may be trying to test out to see how far they can go with people accepting less combat, which may play into whatever they work on next.
It kind of sucks that it is coming so late. When you wait so long for some DLC, that will probably not be longer than 3 hours, you're bound to feel a bit disappointed in some way.
I am not sure if it's just me but....this is the first ever DLC I actually care about.
How long do you guys think this will be?
I'm curious as to what those other mechanics are. Perhaps more emphasis on pure stealth and challenging obstacles/"puzzles" for progression.
Sounds alright to me. Johnson's acting was always just decent IMO with a couple of standout moments. Baker was the one that really impressed me on a constant basis.Well that was all kinds of shitty
Edit:the acting there. Ellies Voice was awkward
Saint fucking god YES.... With The Last of Us, we went past our comfort zone by including fewer combat encounters than we had in our previous games. This may get me to play it. I loved everything but the combat.
