Hah, I didn't bother killing anything, and I'm terrible at parrying. I just took cover and was REALLY careful.I actually managed to just kill everythingafter more than a few loads lmao.
Good way to practice parrying.

The rain and lightning is cool and all but it can gets fucking annoying when you're trying to get to a tower...
I noped out of there with fast travel so quick lmao
the damned akkala tower isnt it
These shrines are so much better than dungeons.
Quick couple puzzles not bogged down by traversing distances.
Whew lots of stuttering when last hitting moblins on the.death mountain climb.
Anyone else experience similar issues?
I don't think there's ever been a 3D Zelda with so many successful "oh shit shit shit shit" moments.
Secret area in thelabyrinth.
A gazillion laser sights suddenly appear.
Welp.
Secret best feature of the Switch is the sleep mode. Takes all of 2 seconds to wake the console and be right back in Zelda. Really allows for those short-bursts of gaming you describe.I've completely abandoned any attempt to "play" this game at all. Usually when I play a Zelda, the trick is gaming it. I aim to get to [x] dungeons within a day or so. I set certain progression goals for the story to balance it out with exploration of the overworld, etc. Here I'm just like... fuck it. After a week I realized it doesn't matter. I can pick up the game and literally play -any- way I like and it's satisfying. I just explore an inch at a time, going from shrine to shrine, cliff to cliff, cliff to ruin, ruin to tower, etc. There's always something to find, There's always a puzzle or a mystery or a secret around the corner. I'm just going to get lost in Hyrule and play this game for however long it takes. When I eventually get to the next region with a dungeon, I'll worry about it then. Wow.
Same! Currently making my way towards Zora's Domain. This entire area is designed amazingly so far. After what seemed like ten hours of wandering around, fighting enemies and discovering locations on shrines, I'm heading towards the first dungeon.
Can't wait!
You need aOkay so is it just me, or is the optional challenge in theshrine the most ridiculous thing in this entire game?! I broke literally every weapon in my inventory trying to complete it. 5 hits with a heavy weapon made the orb fall short, but 6 hits overshot it every time..."golf"
Whether I put in 10 minutes or 3 hours in a play session, I've found that the satisfaction from the game is exactly what you invest into it. You can have a small adventure or a big adventure. It's crazy!
So, what would be the regular way to make it towards the, where i am led to believe you're able to find fire protection critters and buy fire protection items.Goron Town
"heat protection" (lv. 2) didn't do jack shit when i warped there ... i started losing half a heart every second straight away.
I was lucky enough to find the beetles needed to make fire proofing medicine in beedle's stock of random shit and i'll just make them into medicine during the next blood moon.
The legend of the hero Link, who ran away from all the enemies in the overworld because combat outside of dungeons or any actual objectives is a negative sum game.

This game is surprisingly great in small bursts. Usually Zelda games required you to put some time aside but now I can get a lot of enjoyment from just 5 mins of running around.
There's an NPC at the nearest stables who sells you fireproof elixirs. Each lasts about 6 minutes so with 2 or 3 under your belt you can easily make it to the town and buy some proper fireproof gear.
I feel like I could put the handheld next to my bed and just play in between loading screens, during podcasts, in between Overwatch games etc. for years. This game is surprisingly great in small bursts. Had a much better gaming session today once I abandoned exploration (which I find frustrating in such a large area when there isn't really that much to find) in favor of pursuing the main story quests. Did all thecontent and generally had a blast. Just wish the game focused more on that kind of linear progression instead of expecting you to comb the land for shrines.Zora
I just remembered that I should try Voez, I bought it from the eshop and it seemed like the download wouldn't be instantaneous. So then I saw Zelda on the home screen and sighed, fine fine, I'll go chop trees to finish a sidequest.
Also I don't know if it works the same for the heat, but for the cold you can also equip fire weapons to warm your body so I'm assuming ice weapons work the same.
Switch Zelda is the best "woke up randomly at 3AM for no reason whatsoever might as well play something" game. The system is conveniently resting next to my bed for such occasions.

I need to stop lurking in this thread, I haven't even gotten a Switch yet. I'm dying.
Is there a way to shake trees to get the apples to fall down?
Even if I had the money, they are sold out!Bruh. Switch it up!
What's the deal with amiibo bonuses in this game? I bought horsey-boy link, but both times I've tapped it I haven't received a sword or a saddle...
Anyone knows a recipe to get lots of bonus hearts?
it's based on luck, you don't get a sword or saddle every day.
Are there any other benefits from taking pictures for the compendium than being able to locate stuff?
