Okay, I was aware of this being a thing. Fancy explaining?
As far as I am aware, the difference lies between the NA release and the Japanese release.
Japanese release has a
longer quest to get the Triforce. One of the charts requires you to keep hunting for
more charts before you can get the actual Triforce chart. It's like 5 regular blue charts or something before you get the Triforce chart, which is then located on a different island from the chart itself.
In the NA release, they realized this was
way too tedious and awful so they cut out hunting the 5 blue charts. Instead, they have you shoot down a particular battleship to get the Triforce chart instead. In the Japanese release, this enemy holds one of the regular blue charts that's used to get the Triforce chart itself.
Long story short, with this release, they'd likely go with the NA version for both regions, thus ridding of that difference completely. And if they implement skippable cutscenes/faster dialogue, speedrunning the game could be
oh so much better.
