bob_arctor said:I just watched Romero's Day Of The Dead last night and all I could think of was Left 4 Dead, especially considering the 3 main protagonists/archetypes. God, what an awesome flick, screw the haters. I am basically entombing myself with everything zombie until the 18th. Just printed out Romero's original screenplay for Day. Gonna watch Dawn tonight. Saw Night on Halloween. And I still need to cop Diary Of The Dead and on a GAF recommendation, read this:
I really enjoyed Day by Day Armageddon, but damn if it doesn't have the worst copy editing I've ever seen in my entire life. The most egregious (and funniest) example is the constant misspelling of "pus" as "puss." Reading about packs of zombies "leaking puss" kinda gives the story a whole new dimension, and not in a good way.
The book is definitely worth reading if you're into zombie stories, but if you're in the sub-sub-group of zombie-fans-who-also-happen-to-be-grammar-nazis, your head might explode. I KNOW IT'S THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE AND YOU'RE A LITTLE BUSY, BUT CAN YOU PLEASE SET ASIDE 5 MINUTES TO LEARN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "ITS" AND "IT'S" OR THERE, THEIR, AND THEY'RE!?
It feels good to have gotten that off my chest.
