I hope there are a few more areas like that, where you just get to look around for a bit.shooting and action are cool but i like the slower sections just as much.
The clearer this image gets, the more it's starting to look like concept art. The building on the right looks like brush strokes, similar to older concept artwork we've seen.

Thanks for clarifying this. Hopefully it clears it up for them doubtersI can confirm this is not concept art, and is from in-game. Same for the Lycan. Also, the transformation of the Lycans are real-time, not pre-rendered.

Not only does that look really nice, it also hints that there are more slower paced moments in the game that incorporate exploration, or just shooting the shit with NPCs. Playing through Grim Fandango again right now has reminded me how much I love just taking a breather, soaking in the ambiance of a place and being engaged with the dialogue between characters. How I wish the adventure aspect would often take more prominence in action-adventure games.
In-engine simply means the visuals are produced within their game engine. This can include real time or offline, but excludes outsourced or simply CGI that is handled by another (set of software).I thought in-game meant real time, In-engine being done offline?
I have to say, Ready at Dawn really nailed the look of these half breeds in The Order: 1886. They look so damn good. One of the best representation of the half breed in any medium ever (IMHO)
I love this look. So human-like and beastly at the same time. Creepy!
They've said since the beginning that that's part of their goal. I'm really glad that they're holding back on showing things like that. It's always nice when they come up unexpectedly. Not only does that look really nice, it also hints that there are more slower paced moments in the game that incorporate exploration, or just shooting the shit with NPCs. If this is real then it's by far the best looking video I have ever seen. Unbelievable.

Seriously, come release date, this will be the best looking game on any platform. And we're getting floored by a heavily compressed image. Imagine the real game on your TV..... Minds will be blown!

I actually think that's one of the worst shots we've seen of the game. Still looks good, obviously, but everything else is on another level. It's probably just the offscreeniness hiding the little details and overemphasizing contrast.Seriously, come release date, this will be the best looking game on any platform. whats interesting about that commercial is that all the "quotes" from websites are only about the visuals of the game, i really hope this game delivers
Compression usually benefits game screenshots.
Sadly this doesnt offer multiplayer and probably not a whole lotta replayability. As such I wont pick it up full price physical or digital. Im looking forward to playing it but my backlog is hella full and all Im waiting on is Bloodborne!!

If this weren't real it would be a huge disappointment after all the hype about the visuals, I don't see anything truly mindblowing there. Black bars, you can't see very far, no enemies, varying texture quality, 30fps. Less wouldn't be enough. But it shows how important AF can be, the ground texture looks great.
I'd actually argue there's spots in Infamous Second Son that look that good.
Okay, this is out of control.

You guys going digital or disc copy? I wanna play it at midnight but would rather prefer an actual disc. Decisions decisions.
When do the reviews come out? The only way I'd consider digital is if the reviews say it's something special. You guys going digital or disc copy? I wanna play it at midnight but would rather prefer an actual disc. Decisions decisions.

Hahahaha... what?
Need I post some screencaps from driveclub YT videos pre-launch?
Disc. I like having something I can put on shelf and having to fuss about with Grim Fandango has put me off going digital unless it's the only option. You guys going digital or disc copy? I wanna play it at midnight but would rather prefer an actual disc. Decisions decisions.

This game just keeps on giving, it is a work of art and a beacon visually this generation....cannot wait for the 20th (or hopefully sooner).
