Video link for youCool new demo released:

You can play it with an Everdrive, but your console (Master System or Megadrive) needs to be in 50Hz.
Or alternatively you can just watch it here

But it looks much better on a CRT.
Some games need a Mark III or Master System controller to work correctly.i was trying to play alien syndrome through the power base converter. the character always goes left. i guess it doesn't work well the the genesis converter or genesis 6 button controller.

Alien Syndrome
Bomber Raid
Great Volleyball
Montezuma's Revenge
Penguin Land
Shanghai
Tennis Ace
Where in the World is Carmen San Diego
Wonder Boy in Monster Land
Maybe more.

i was playing shinobi, and thought this is really cool. i enjoyed it more than when i was a kid. but once i got the little rolling bomb as a power up from knives. i got annoyed, no distance standing fire, and when ducking it rolls so slow that i can't fire out another one till it connects or expires. got me killed.
That is the stupidest upgrade. i remember skipping it when i was a kid. (but i'm not sure if you can skip hostages so i could be imagining things)
You can skip hostages, but there are other weapons after the bomb. It's just a mildly annoying weapon and it's still useful in the red stage to take out enemies behind crates. You don't want to skip hostages as they give you extra lives and magic.
I did a recent write up of Shinobi here:

I have one, it's not really rare or expensive? They pop up on Yahoo Japan quite often. Some consoles came with them in the box.On the new episode of 'The Last Gamer', a rare Sega Mark III peripheral called the Telecon Pack.
It plugs in and has an antenna to broadcast RF singlas directly to a television without wires. Works with the MarK III and older Sega computers, can;t be used with the Master System or the later released Japanese version of the Master System,
i played some shinobi tonight and got killed on stage 4-2. i kept falling down the long pits. damn my jump timing is off.I completed Shinobi on the Master System a few years ago, and while the game was fine, it did feel a bit underwhelming somehow. Slow, and not that difficult. Still a fun playthrough though.
Shinobi was my first Master System game (okay, technically my second because Hang-On was included with my system), and boy was I impressed with it! Up to that point I had only played Atari 2600 and Commodore 64 games, so it was quite an upgrade. It's a great game and I have fond memories of it.
That ending though...

That is pretty freaking awesome.
I am so jelly for that map. Congrats!
oh yeah, loved that game back in the 80s!Christ that Miracle Warriors cart brings back memories I played soooo much of that game back when I was little.
i loved playing at my friends house co-op.Man that copy of Double Dragon brings back so many nostalgia feels. The one thing I had in my clip against my NES-owning friends was playing DD with 2 players at the same time.
i actually liked that you had all the move sets from the start unlike nes where if you didn't have the 3-heart level jump kick by mission 2 where enemy with the bat is, you were pretty much screwed.Unfortunately Double Dragon M3/MS is pretty janked gameplay wise. Has an FM soundtrack though.
it removes the dumb experience system of the NES game (which by the way you can bypass by punching but not knocking over a guy on the first level a bunch of times) and adds back in two player, but on a basic collision detection level the M3/MS game is waaaaaaaay more busted.i actually liked that you had all the move sets from the start unlike nes where if you didn't have the 3-heart level jump kick by mission 2 where enemy with the bat is, you were pretty much screwed.

yeah, i had a hard time registering the bat hits. i didn't know that, i died on the last board due to lack of continues. In retrospect the controls were pretty janky (the SMS pad didn't help) but man I played the shit out of that port. I remember the only way I was able to beat it was using that "Jump in place 30 times on the last level to get infinite lives" trick that I read in a "Tips and Tricks" book in the school library.
thanks for the lowdown on vigilante. i never tried on SMS =)Space Harrier's prolly the best of the Suzuki ports
Zillion 2 is fun but drops off so very much of what made 1 magical, i thought
Vigilante is also a really solid arcade port - the TG16 one is obviously better with voice/graphics but as a fan, you really do get most of the game there. good pickups!
i'm trying to get alex kidd miracle world. been looking around a bit.Alex the Kidd and Alien Storm are probably my most played Master System games:
Wasn't very good when I think about it (hit detection wasn't the most pleasent) but I remember really liking all the alien designs, especially the end levels on-board an organic alien craft.
How did so many people get this wrong? Not just yourself, 99% of people add the non-existant 'the'.Alex the Kidd

Not quite as bad as the 'Diddy Kong's Quest' muppets though.
I...I wasn't alone singing that song?! I thought I had made a brilliant hitlist videogame song as a kid, childhood ruined!!!I swear it's because of the song. It just fits with "Alex the Kidd, Alex the Kidd, Kidd Kidd Kidd Kidd Kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidd!"

In Japanese it would be Areh-kusu Kid-do. So that might actually be where the melody came from.

Wait, did Miracle Warriors come with a map? I gotta check my copy for one if so...
