For those of you who, like me, find it difficult to follow every single thread and little scrap of detail that comes out at TGS, a helpful hand. Here is a list of some of the exciting announcements/details that have come out during this eventful week so far. Also, almost all my links are 56k friendly so don't be afraid to click. Thanks to pretty much an unnumerably large amount of people who posted the story, hosted images, uploaded videos and all sorts of stuff. Large thanks especially to Blimblim, 1up, Gamespot, IGN, Solidsnakex, jett, jarrod, op_ivy, Culex, Reno, Wario64, C-Warrior and many more. I know I'm missing a lot, so feel free to fill in the blanks. I'll update.

GENERAL

● Sony forms Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide studios (SCE WWS). Combines all of its game development studios into one. Press Release
● Microsoft XBX360 Launch Date Revealed - November 22 in the US, December 2 in Europe, December 10th in Japan. Japan gets one SKU only non-retard pack w/ HDD for $350 equivalent. Luck bastards. Source
● Sega teams up with Bizarre Creations (Project Gotham Racing 3) for next-gen publishing. "We are privileged to be working with SEGA again," said Martyn Chudley, Managing Director of Bizarre Creations. "With their passion for games and forward-thinking approach, they are the ideal partner to make the most of our new concept."
● Konami and Capcom set to merge? Bloomberg suggests maybe. Not official or even true yet, but very interesting to note. See story here. Konamicom?
● For an awesome video covering many games across all the systems and the revolution controller, check this link out. It has everything there, pretty nice. Includes Revolution controller, MGS4, MGA2, Wardevil, Black and White 2, Onimusha: DoD, Roco Loco, Xbox 360 press conference and more!

NEXT-GEN SYSTEMS

PS3

● Super Robot Wars, Samurai (way of the samurai) 3, Project Psychic (Taito), Extreme (Taito) and Derby Stallion announced. No more real details, I don't think.
● Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots revealed. Incredible images and trailer. See cam/1up footage, amazing stuff. Snake is an Elderly man on a battlefield, Otacon makes an appearance. MK-II from Snatcher is in. See scans here and here. Direct capture of Otacon here. Read impressions of trailer at 1up. See cam trailer here. And now, for a limited time only, check out the lo-res direct feed trailer from Konami here.
● Devil May Cry 4 revealed. New trailer of Dante beating the shit out of a camera. See scans here and here. Art by BoF dude. See cam video here. A somewhat different version spotted by C-Warrior at this link.

● KOEI making PS3 launch game called "Fatal Inertia." Some sort of futuristic racing game. Pics can be found here and here.

Source
● HUGE LIST OF Japanese PS3 support. See it here. Definitely worth checking out, speculate about the nameless titles! Tecmo action game - Rygar or Ninja Gaiden? You decide! [/sensationalism]
● EA talks Medal of Honor PS3, currently in development at EA Los Angeles. "The PS3 version of the game was already fill-rate bound, leaving 4 SPUs of the PlayStation 3 ready to be used for code-powered effects such as physics, particles, AI, and so on." Read article here

● Warhawk shown, still looks... like it needs a lot of work. But check the video here and check the pic here.

● Fifth Phantom Saga TGS trailer is up. Check it out here. Somewhat improved over E3. (thanks Solidsnakex)

And you need more Kameo love in here. Link to the new vids in the Kameo thread. The game deserves more love.

Grab some links and post them here and I'll update. It's just a bit hard for me to go through these threads one by one because I'm 56k, so I gotta do a rough job.

Why so few DS announcements?

Nintendo has no presence at TGS, had to rely on third parties. But there IS DS news/media, I remember Viewtiful Joe Scratch shown, so if you have links to the stuff just link me.

PSP's ultimate E3 redemption man! Good thing I kept mine.

The PSP games, Revolution controller, and MGS4... this was a good week for news. I haven't been this excited about games since E3 2004.

about the treasure game... from the gaf thread, it was 1up that had the story originally, but the link in the thread no longer works. also, some jaapanese site as reported that it will be an original shooter :)

PS3 + PSP for the win.

Xbox 360 loses its appeal to many but stuff like Treasure's new game and SNK Playmore support (their games will come to the US) is whats keeping me interested to be honest.

I hope nobody thinks Revolution is the best console there. That would be plain ridiculous.

Gotcha. I'll write that in as uncomfirmed.

maybe a few more threads like this and you'll get that modship..

PS3 is clearly the dominant console of the future, the PS2 is still going strong, and the PSP is finally starting to live up to its hype. A great show for Sony. They will be seeing far too much of my money in the next twelve months.

The Revolution controller is very exciting to me. I do want to see some games running on it, and hope that Nintendo has garnered at least some third-party interest. But truthfully, if this thing sells for $200-250 I'd buy it just for the Nintendo games. More than anything I just want to get my hands on this and try it out, but that won't happen for a while. Until then, I'm a believer, if somewhat tenative.

Xbox 360...well hey, at least there's a Treasure shooter, and the controller still rocks. They lost me with the crappy MTV and E3 showings, and haven't gotten me back with anything since.

All in all, this show is blowing away E3, and I think everyone can come away excited from this. Looking at all the media and stories today has me finally feeling the next-gen hype, while still anticipating a lot of current-gen stuff.

Awesome thread Amir0x.

12/22 for KH2? Blah. Guess we won't be getting it this year. :\

Any Dirge of Cerberus videos?

Everyone should link to videos they find of games, mainly ones not already on IGN or GameSpot (btw, GameSpot is awesome for videos, IGN's badly organized imo) so Amir0x can put them all in the first post if he wants.

I really wanna see Dirge gameplay. ;_;

Already posted this in the Suikoden V thread, but I figured it could go in the summary, too:
Suikoden V Announced For North America

Konami Digital Entertainment America has announced that they will be localizing Suikoden V for North American release. This announcement came during the Tokyo Game Show in Japan, where the game is being displayed in public for the first time.
Source: http://www.rpgamer.com/news/Q3-2005/091605b.html

Hm, this is a different take on the Devil May Cry 4 trailer. It's not the same one in the Capcom Next-Gen trailer reel. All I can say is that I just now watched it 10 seconds ago so and it was new to me, and it has a better 'shaky-cam' angle to it... if that tells you anything...

Different (scenario B) DMC4 trailer...

Many thanks for the awesome thread. I haven't even really been gone, I just went to sleep after the Revolution reveal, tried to dig through some threads, went out shopping, and by the time I was back, it was just SWAMPED with substantial gaming news. Developers had been really holding back news on some of these things, more than they have in the past. It really does seem like E3 got cheated this year, but all well.

Once again, thanks!
