So glad I waited on playing TP. I'm excited.
A lot of people complain about the first couple of hours leading to the first dungeon but I'm not sure what's wrong with it. It's been years since I last played Twilight Princess but I don't remember it being a chore or slow to go through.
So I heard that Nintendo's fixing the tear-collecting sections.
thank your uncle for us =P
The Twilight Princess's true form was spoiled on the art on the instruction manual in the original release. It's only a spoiler if you point out what it is. Otherwise it's left as a complete mystery.
And Ganondorf is a default character in Smash Bros. using the Twilight Princess design. Come on people.

Try it again.....it sucks

It kind of requires an old CRT as it doesn't have widescreen support and looks like mud on an HDTV. Still the better experience than the Wii version, though.
TP is more deserving of a remaster than almost anything else out there.

The opening is why I've never played this game. It's the worst intro ever. I have tried multiple times to make it through and never have. It's awful.
Skyward Sword is worse, with everybody in your face all the time about what to do and how special you are and with Zelda all over you in the most anime fashion. The opening is why I've never played this game. It IS because of Wii Waggle. Miyamoto ordered them to stretch the tutorial out over three days instead of one. But the Cube version got the same tutorial, for the sake of parity. DX<Eh... I wouldn't necessarily say it sucks... But, yeah, the first couple hours are pretty slow. I started LTTPing it a few days ago, didn't make it very far before being distracted by other games. My general feeling was/is that the forced waggle controls *do* suck big time. So the slow beginning may have actually benefitted new players trying to adjust to a control scheme that didn't really fit the game. No idea if this was an intentional re-design for the Wii version (since I never played the GC version either) or just happenstance.
Edit: In any case, I didn't feel like the intro was bad enough to put me off the game. It's slow but nothing I normally wouldn't blow thru quickly to get to the better stuff. What really did put me off the game are the waggle controls. WTF was Nintendo thinking forcing this crap in certain genres?

If they're clever about which ones they remove, it could really help reduce annoyance.
I read this in the YouTube comments - is this true?
"Gamexplain, I'm disappointed of you... In one of the screenshots (the one where Link stands in front of his house) you can see that Link carries 2000 rupees, even though the total amount of rupees you could carry, was originally 1000. So there's another change."

Seems like they know since they just posted a video about it

Hopefully this will reduce the amount of times you see the stupid message where you can't hold any more rupees
It's slow, but people make it out to be something far worse than it is. In the grand scheme of the entire game, it's such a small portion.A lot of people complain about the first couple of hours leading to the first dungeon but I'm not sure what's wrong with it. To be fair, we go from 16 to 12... Impact on pacing shouldn't be too important. Pretty sure they just removed a couple of bugs that were in easy to miss areas, so that people avoid spending a long time searchign everywhere.
...
Wait a minute. There's 4 less Tears of Light on Wii U.
There's 4 bugs in the area with the twilight bird.... Hmm...
What do you mean by "four less tears of light on Wii U?"

There's been no indication that you can flip the world in this version, but you should feel right at home in the Wii U version as it's based on the GCN version.Apologies if this has been asked before (I haven't really been following any TP HD news), but is it know if the game has the option to switch between left- and right handed Link and original/ mirrored Hyrule or is it just the Wii version in HD? I've tried the Wii version several times, but could get over the mirrored world and lack of traditional controls, I vastly prefer the GC version.
I still feel they are gonna include both versionsThere's been no indication that you can flip the world in this version, but you should feel right at home in the Wii U version as it's based on the GCN version.
I always find this a poor excuse for being open with spoilers. There are always new people growing up who where too young back then and it would be cool if they don't get spoiled by the official boxart.
The damage in this case is probably not that big considering this design also appeared in two Smash games, but it's still a bad decision. When you solely look at the games narrative it's meant to be a surprise.

So Famitsu did uncover one scoop, the less tears of light thing lol

2000 ruppees as the max limit will also help in some of the sidequests that required lots of ruppees (Malo Mart, the Priest-looking dude in Castle Town, etc) but unless Magic Armor has some actual need or there's some additional things to buy with ruppees they'll become capped at 2000 all the time at some point anyway -- resulting in the same eventual problem. So hopefully the max ruppee count isn't the only thing they've done to remedy that problem.
Unless they calculated how many ruppee chests there are and what amount of ruppees are required to essentially do everything before you get the Magic Armor...
Holy shit... It didn't changed one bit. It still looks exactly like the original.
It makes me so sad
Yes you can tell that even with that image quality.
I'm guessing they removed the Tears from the flying section in Lanayru. But I think that's only 3 of them, not 4.
I think it will just help for in dungeons since you'd never compelete the whole map since ther would still be some unopened chests. I think thats probably what they are going for. Since most of the money is in the dungeons and usually you wouldn't be able to get them since you were at max already. Since you really didn't have to buy much in that game besides bombs really.
Im sorry but when I played it the first time I didnt know that Ganon was in. None of the E3 trailers showed him. Also Midna's form is shown after you beat the game.
Am ehm... there are so many faces there you don't know which one is... :/ sorry

I mean, yes, that's what I said but at some point you'll still cap out at 2000 due to the sheer number of ruppee chests in TP and the very little amount of things you'll need to buy at some point.
Ideally, it shouldn't just be that change but also just... letting Link "take" the ruppee despite having a full wallet. That message shouldn't pop up at all and Link should just take it as though it's a regular ruppee on the ground. Like... in previous Zelda games lol.
