curious, did you play COD Vita?
My biggest issue with it is the price - $49.99 for what it is is -really- pushing it. However, the game itself isn't that bad at all. Also - people seem to be missing the point of the game a little - that or game reviewers were expecting something else from the game.
Removal/lack of a full "single player" experience was the right thing to do for me. The replacement with the short one-death-and-it's-game-over missions was exactly the way to go with a handheld game. Now, for me, i can see playing on 1 star you could bomb through this in an hour or two, but playing it on the 3 star setting changes that.
Then you have the horde style modes which , again, multi difficulty settings give you something to replay over and over.
Online worked fine, the small maps are just a little too small in that spawn killing does take place but again - it was all as expected.
$49.99 ... that's the sticking point. $29.99 would have been about right. However, the idea that the game is out and out garbage isn't accurate - it's not going to win GOTY but neither is it a steaming turd.
I should add that i am absolutely itching for Rainbow 6 Vegas's terrorist hunt style gaming on the Vita and between Unit 13 and this, the itch is starting to be scratched.
