I went to preorder and I can't find it on the psn store on ps4, go to the web store can't find it their either so I google search it and I find a link to the PlayStation India store but not us? Wtf Sony get on your stuff

Glad to see great minds thinking alike. The song is an amazing fit for the OT title. Really digging the other ones you threw out there as well. This game is going to be a blast to play on the Switch. Really looking forward to it! :D

This will be my second Switch game. I never played any of the Wonder Boy games, so I'm excited!

I'm also going to start playing Specter Knight soon and Yooka Laylee comes out in two days, so I'm just drowning myself in retro goodness.

Ah crap, didn't saw it, even with searching "Wonder Boy" in the thread. Would have liked to see that before making gifs and stuff but fine.

Whoa this looks really cool. That artstyle is incredible. I've actually never even heard of the original game before I don't think.

Tightness of the controls, performance indeed, new artstyle didn't convince me but as usual I try not to watch more than a couple seconds of footage pre launch.

The game is a digital download only. We have no immediate plan for a physical release. We are investigating the possibility but if it ever happens it would be later and in limited quantity. Please bear we us that physical goods may not be at our reach and few studios at this point know how to manufacture Switch games.

...but why the fuck would you ever switch to that 8bit mode? The HD art and animation are absolutely fantastic.

An appreciation of the original's visuals and audio? (They included the original sounds and music in the retro mode.)

I mean, I enjoy playing the original NES MegaMan games and I never played those as a kid. With MegaMan 9 and 10 they could have made the visuals look like Street Fighter 2 HD Remix but the NES style visuals and sound haven't aged badly.

You can also switch between the retro and new sound independently of the graphics which is why I'm glad it's there. Such a neat idea.

As a guy who is nearer 40 than 30, I agree with you.

I recently played through Monkey Island again, and although I was a massive fan of the originals I never once switched to the classic mode.

All down to taste I suppose. I know guys that love the old 8-bit art styles.
