There's nothing that would get me arrested, so I wouldn't be too concerned. I'd just hope that nobody I know would want to bother wading through what would be a significant amount of data to find anything too embarrassing.

So this is like the time I accidently stayed logged into my Google account on my Mother's tablet and all of my bookmarks were imported to Chrome somehow? We didn't really talk about it, but I don't think she was surprised either...

So, I guess I wouldn't care. I have no shame. Sharing is caring.

Lol. That feeling when you realized what happened. Priceless

I work in tech, I have no church affiliations, and have no desire to hold any kind of public office, so I wouldn't really care.

The US isn't really a country where people are prosecuted for downloading pirated media. That's usually more of a civil concern. In Japan and some other places, it's criminal.

I figure law enforcement and intelligence agencies already have enough information on us to prosecute any charges they want to pursue, so they're not usually concerned with regular old porno and piracy.

Well.. Ive pirated a couple games in the past, other than that everyone wouldnt just get to learn that I like bdsm a lot.

So... Fines and nothing?

A lot on people on gaf would be broke as shit though

Real talk: one American's browsing/download history is leaked and made public. Does the MPAA really go after that person? Seems like a PR nightmare that would have millions of people flocking to the accused's defence and helping to pay any fines.

If everyone's histories were leaked, I can't see anyone getting chased down for copyright infringement.

Mostly just raised eyebrows from people... until they pulled the chat transcripts from my late teens.

I doubt all the pirating from the past would put me in jail, but I bet I'll get bills from Warner and the like for everything I ever illegally watched or listened to plus interest

Alot of pirating back in the day. Music, movies and games. Plus all the porn. So much porn. Like how can one man watch so much porn?

Yup, jail probably. Maybe lose my job?

You guys have no right to name quote me ever again.

What the fuck are you looking at if you're all going to jail?

They wouldn't have the number of lawyers capable of going after everyone. And even if they did, the majority of the accused would die of old age before their court dates even came around.

Luckily my wife knows all my secrets and porn habits, I don't really have a family to worry about either.

My empliyer and coworkers would just be embarrassing I guess.

I've spent my lifetime on the internet. I've browsed and forgotten more weird shit than the majority of in the general populace. So...Idk probably jail.
As for my recent history...I'd have some explaining to do.

I feel like if we could all suddenly see each other's lifelong porn searches we as a society would actually evolve.

Or maybe the exact opposite would happen due to the threatened family values people being unable to logically process the sheer glut of hypocrisy suddenly on display.

The last 15 years of history nothing would happen just embarrassment. If they go back to my AOL 13 year old selfs browsing history, I'd be in trouble.

Not very. Never did much pirating, my wife (the only one whose opinion would matter) knows my tastes in adult entertainment. Only things I'd be embarrassed by is the dumb shit I used to post on AOL message boards and such to try and fit in, and that was 20 years when I was a teenager, so who cares?

Worst is probably some porn and maybe a couple of illegal downloads. Otherwise, my history is full of GAF, Amazon, Social Media, and a few embarrassing/cringey Facebook/Twitter statuses.

They will know I watch tons of gay porn? Other than that, I really don't have much to hide. I would be concerned if they can get access to my bank accounts or something that serious.
