Real talk for a second, the social ramifications of this really intrigue me. If everyone's browser history was public knowledge, how much would their browsing habits change? Would what's seen as acceptable or unacceptable change? Something considered depraved when someone does it behind closed doors may lose notoriety when it's revealed that the majority of people do the same thing. It would either upset or balance our moral compass. Probably divide people into two camps - people who'd rather not get caught searching for embarrassing or illegal stuff, and people who use "everyone does it" as justification to keep doing it.

If it's from pirating it's not worrying at all considering a metric shit ton of people who were younger at the height of irc/napster/kazaa etc. pirated stuff and if that would land people in jail or fined i might or might not be fined/put in jail but other than that possibly effecting my life (not saying i did pirate in my youth) i don't care if the history was made public but nothing would come out that i am embarrassed about.
