2016 is one of the best show ever if not the best. Not a huge issue if it's slighty worse.
I'm part of team E3-has-been-boring-af-so-far and hoping Sony can redeem it a bit for me. Buuut I'm not super confident cuz this feels like a major "in between" year in relation to what my interests in games are. 8(

I'd like a release date for that Horizon expansion. I finished the game what seems like ages ago, and want some more. Perhaps a bit too soon though.

Exactly, and if they massively exceed these "low" expectations you can bet all the people who were down on it now will be a hell of a lot more happy come the end of the show.
A big reason Sony's last two conferences are so highly praised was because they were unexpected and far exceeded any expectations.

Maybe it is time for DQVIII remaster to keep us occupied till XI comes out (and maybe an exclusive period with Nintendo after DQVIII 3DS has ended?)?

2016 was amazing but I don't think it was some insurmountable bar Sony set for themselves
If they can't match or beat it that'd be disappointing. just imo.

The one thing I'll give Sony and their execs. They don't seem to overhype the conference before hand.
Of course they tell you to tune and that they have an exciting show planned. But I feel MS tend to fall into that trap of overhyping a bit.
I don't blame them, but I think it sets up people to be disappointed easier.

I think will see Knack dlc for Crash because lets be honest they will ruin Crash somehow.
Work is slow today so I'm taking off a bit early to settle in for this conference. I hope we see some surprises or something new/exciting. I found the vast majority of the stuff shown over the weekend to be super dull. I'd just like to actually be a little hype during one of the conferences.
Everything about Xbox branding has overhyping embedded into it too, right down to their commercials.

Yep. Not expecting as good as 2016 just because less overall big reveals (nothing as big as God of War will be at the conference).
But it should still be fairly good.
