Your opponent will not know your name or any information about you, and neither of you can send short messages. There will also be no battle records kept for this mode, so whether you win or lose, it doesn’t matter. Just sit back and play.

And why can't you even send these short messages to non-friends? They could just use a swear filter or whatever.

But I'm liking it!

Awesome. Here I was all worried and thinking Nintendo wouldn't add this in. I was getting my "omg, smash bros. doesn't need online to be good" fanboy responses ready.
