It's not even worth a thread anymore. Nintendo seems content to push out worthless WiiWare/DSiWare shovelware rather then release VC games.

If VC was the only thing worth downloading, then it wouldn't be worth it, no. Thankfully, it isn't!

That said, *Ware has been a bit thin lately.

Can you believe Europe still hasn't gotten Cave Story? And they recently changed the released date from summer to "tba" :/

VC releases were sparse enough before WiiWare and DSiWare existed, but now they're pretty much non-existent. I honestly don't understand why we're still waiting on games like Yoshi's Island, Earthbound, Pilotwings 64, third-party N64 games, etc.

Ahhh. No reason to boot up the DSi this week. Or the Wii, if we're only talking about downloads. But I've got other goodies to keep me busy.

EARTHBOUND IS NEVER COMING TO THE VC!!!!

Surprised there's not more excitement for the BlazBlue game...

I downloaded 3D Space Tank (X-Scape in US, pretty sure you guys got the better name :P) last night and played a ton. I don't tend to like games in a first person perspective, but I've had a lot of fun with it. Love the style, gameplay and structure of the game :D And the tunnels have that awesome tune from the original game that was in Brawl, win!

I'll be getting BlayzBloo as soon as I get home, it'll be the first DSiWare I'll actually pay for on my XL.

I thought the BlazeBlue game was a cheap knock off till I saw Aksys made it.

How is BulaizeBlieu? Is it any good? I'll consider getting it. Also, note that I'm not a fan of regular BlazBlue.

Title reminds me of a girl I once knew whose first name was Skye Bleu...

Why would you do that? said:

just beat it with ragna. game is a fun little distraction in single player, but i suspect it's meant to be played in multiplayer. although very much in the spirit of power stone, it still misses the items variety and overall craziness of the original.

Did anyone pick up BlazyBloo? Seems like a fairly short-lived concept from what I've seen/read. It just looks so darn charming...

Do you think we'll finally get Shantae this month?

Man, I feel like I've been waiting for years!

At E3, IGN said they had the finished version and waiting to be submitted. It's been a month already.

Why is it taking so long? Don't tell me they're holding it off for a 3DS version.

Been wondering the same thing. There might be good reason to do so if they can get a good publisher deal and they have enough content. It's possible they could later compile the intended 'episodes' for retail later, too. But yeah, it's about 2 generations overdue now. Be a shame if it vanished again.

Does Europe get better support than America?

No. I'd say given that NoE shits out lots of 50Hz versions and other botched releases, it is automatically inferior to the American service. Library wise they are pretty much the same, barring the odd exclusive title. I'm so glad I have my US Wii. I can't imagine going back to borders and 50Hz after being spoiled by the NTSC versions on the US VC.

I didn't realise nobody actually posted the EU update. Here it is:

WiiWare
Sandy Beach
Chess Challenge!

Virtual Console
Aero the Acrobat 2 – Super Nintendo

Nintendo DSiWare
Link 'n' Launch
Animal Puzzle Adventure
Chess Challenge!

I guess you could call it the LTTP edition as Sandy Beach was only 18 months after the US release :lol and Link 'n' Launch was only 6 months later (this one was pretty good, right or was it just another decent puzzler you can live without?).

Link N' Launch is a must get. Definitely not just another publisher.

OMG enjoy your massage is finally out. J/k. On that note why is nintendo catering to the mainstream when most of them don't even know there is a shop on there?

Actually, if you buy kellog's cereal any time this summer, DSi is all over it, and they advertise the DSiWare stuff and some games on the back. It's not tapping into the vein of all gaming with that advertising, but it surprised me to see plastered on a very public and common product.

Anyone know anything about TURN?

EDIT: This looks useful, but in the wrong language for me. :)

I'm bilingual.

TURN is a game about navigating a character through a maze thanks to the ability to rotate the pieces. The gameplay combines reflection with intuition. Your main power is the ability to rotate the piece of the maze where your character is by 90 degrees. You thus play with gravity to progress through the pieces which include enemies and dangerous objects. The levels get harder and harder and you need to learn to "think TURNed" if you want to finish the game.

You play as Kurt or Camila, two characters in search of a mysterious artifact. Their quest brings them through a world of mystery and adventure. They go through docks, jungles, and glaciers and other locations inspired by 20th century adventure novels.

yadda yadda iPhone/iPod Touch yadda yadda DSiWare yadda yadda inspired by Indiana Jones yadda yadda 27 levels (3 worlds of 9 levels each) that will take you 20 hours.

You're a masochist. Accept it.
Virtual Console is DEAD.
Nintendo would rather rip off the Xbox LIVE Indies lineup and release massage games.
That's what the public truly wants to play! :lol

So Virtual Console is totally dead guys.

Until they release another game, then everyone's omg, then back to dead again

I think so. I know Sunsoft is still releasing stuff, we should expect some game I can't remember the name of and Aero the Acrobat II.

In addition, for what it's worth, Fatal Labyrinth and Fatal Fury 3 have been ESRB rated recently. Conversely, neither Ufouria's or Aero 2's ratings have been posted yet.
