JUNE 18 - JUNE 24

SPECIAL EVENTS & NEWS

Since Mago lost his passport during CEO 2012, he will be staying in the SoCal with Justin Wong until EVO.

June 22-24 is Midwest Championships (MWC) 2012 in Nashville, Tennessee. This is the last Road to EVO 2012 event. Each tourney is scheduled to start and be completed on the same day. The stream situation is a bit iffy, but there is at least a stream for Mortal Kombat, provided by ATLMK.



June 23 is FRB★TPC Marvel Festival, at Hobgoblin Akasaka in Tokyo, Japan. The event will have Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, functioning as a qualifier for Tougeki, as well as a Marvel vs. Capcom 2 side tournament. ABEGEN, JEO, OGTY, Udaterasu, Sunahebi, Shimada, G.X, Mame Spider, Yokohama M.O.D.O.K., tenboss, Bashijun and many others will be competing so don't miss it.

The event starts at 3PM JST (UTC +9, 2AM EDT) and will be streamed by FINALROUNDBATS.



June 23 is also the first SoulCalibur V Tougeki qualifier in Japan, held at Aruaru City for the Kyushu area. Unfortunately, the venue doesn't have available internet, so there will be no stream, but the matches will be recorded by STRIKE.

So...I'm a 2D fighter, but I'm getting kinda hype for VF5. how many of you 2D killers bought (and liked) the game? I'm pretty tempted to get the game

It's good and cheap. Buy it.

Honestly, I think the game is a lot easier to get good with than 2D fighters. It's really just a matter of understanding witch moves put you in dis/advantage. Sega makes it really easy thanks to the build in frame data they added.

Thanks for the advice, I think I'll give it a try, and I wanna get used to a 3d environment, 'cause TTT2 is coming and I'm SO hyped for that game!

Salty Battles is hosted at Local Battles, which is an internet cafe/LAN center.

8WayRun also streams 8 On The Break weekly on Tuesdays, which is held at an old-school arcade.

Triforce read a article he wrote in dedication for his mother since she recently passed away, and explained her condition (liver cancer for 8 years, but never told him).
